Merlin Drifter D3O Explorer Textile Jacket - Ochre

Bought this to replace a summer textile jacket which was threadbare! Been wearing it for over a year and it is a truly excellent, comfortable piece of kit. Used locally and continental summer trips around Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium and it has performed brilliantly. On hot days the open vents allow air through the arms, front top of chest and out the back both sides and works very well. Autumn, when zipped up, its windproof and fairly warm but not good enough for frosty days. 4 external and 3 internal pockets it has plenty of space. Its also shower proof, but if you get caught in a downpour you are going to get wet! Armour in back elbows and shoulders. Its wearing well and still looks good and would recommend to all.

Wanted a shorter light jacket for summer but with some water deflecting ability , tried several but this for me was the best , super light and quite stylish almost casual looking which is nice also even with the armour it feels so light and easy to move in not tried in the wet but feels like a real quality item

Out of the bag it looks and feels like a quality product. Protection looks good and its a good fit, which is good. Haven't had a chance to check it in the rain, but then again I don't like riding in the rain if it can be avoided.

Looks great. Feels very high quality while being the lightest jacket I've owned. Surprisingly warm on cold days too, I've been wearing this in October with only a single thermal layer beneath. Best of all the jacket has 12 pockets!
