Advice & Guides Give your fingers a treat with the right pair of winter gloves...

Customers highlight these gloves' excellent fit and comfort, with true-to-size measurements ensuring a snug wear. They effectively keep hands warm, especially in temperatures down to around 5°C, though not below unless paired with additional protection like heated grips. While their waterproof capabilities are praised, some issues were noted with persistent rain soaking through. The gloves maintain dexterity and provide reassuring protection. However, the touchscreen fingertips have been criticized for not functioning as expected, and the closure system has received mixed feedback.
Realy good fit, straps are a little fiddly but do secure the glove well. Very warm even on the coldest days, been riding to work in 0 / 0.5c and fingers felt great
Really liking these gloves, they fit great and are a decent warm glove for the cold morning rides.
I hate bulky winter gloves and these are a perfect middle ground when not using summer gloves.
I have been using them in conjunction with my heated grips and the palm allows a nice amount of heat in.
I’ve not had to use them in the rain yet so can’t comment on the that.
Always use alpine stars jacket and trousers all excellent and water proof was expecting the same however left hand fingers damp within half an hour in rain right hand ok odd wrist fastening as well.
I got these as a sort of mid-season glove and generally they do the job. They're pretty comfy, grip well, feel safe and are nice and easy to get under my cuff.
The downside, like pretty much all Alpinestars gear I've had over the years - They're not even vaguely water resistant. The rain just seeps right through, even on short runs. I don't expect miracles not being a Gore-tex like material. But they should keep my dry in 10-15 minutes of rain, but that is not the case.
I’ve been using the Alpinestars Tourer W-7 V2 Drystar gloves and they’ve been great so far. They’re comfortable from the first ride, fit well, and the Drystar waterproofing does the job in wet weather. Good grip and protection without feeling bulky, and they stay warm enough on cooler rides. I’d recommend trying a few different sizes before buying to get the best fit. Overall, solid gloves for touring and everyday use.
Really like these as winter gloves but the long cuffs are still quite stiff and I do have some trouble getting my big winter jacket sleeves into them. Could just be that they are still new. Otherwise, the look good and do keep fingers warm.
Looking for a great comfy and warm glove that fits well this ticks all the boxes two secure straps and a glove that's not too bulky to wear
Bought these gloves as a gift for myself. They are comfortable and keep the chill off my fingers. Love the look and the fit is very comfortable. Fits under the sleeves of my adventure jacket. Love them.
I didn't feel any frostbite on my hands during 1-hour rides in temperatures between 0-5°C. Ideal for mild winter and spring months.
Good looking comfortable glove. Not too thick, so still retain good feel for the controls. Have tried out in cold wet weather, and whereas they stayed bone dry over a 4 hour ride, they only kept the cold out until around 8*C. Below that was not good (for me).
These gloves are comfortable and so far have been warm. Ambient temperature around 8-12 deg C. Will need to report back once the weather turns colder. Not tried them in the rain yet so unsure of waterproofing.
I’ll start by saying I am a huge advocate for Alpinestars, and still am. I’ve worn this brand almost exclusively for 25 years on and off-road (Motocross/Supercross), even now I look a sponsored rider or a just a massive fanboy but really it’s because I’ve never been let down by their styling, fit, and function for every type of garment they produce, until now.
The fit is fine and true to size as per, and they look good too. Unfortunately it’s the function which I feel like Alpinestars just haven’t tested? I’ve really tried to get along with them, even buying several sets of under gloves, but no matter what my fingers become freezing after 10 minutes in 12-15 degrees (C). If you get caught in the rain, they will soak through to your skin, couple that with their lack of working insulation and you’re in a lot of pain. The touch screen finger works intermittently, and for the dismal protection they offer I just don’t see the point of them existing.
A thin pair of skiing gloves do a much better job but obviously lack protection. For track days next year I pro-actively bought the (Alpinestars….) GP Plus R V3 leather gloves and took them for a spin today with the ‘Dry’stars in my backpack expecting to switch to after some time but never did, nor did I get cold fingers. I felt far more comfortable, protected, and dexterous, and it’s been 10 degrees on the motorway at 100mph+ for a hour with the odd bit of rain and spray on a naked bike with zero wind or hand guards.
Buy literally anything else because there are zero pros to weigh out the numerous cons.
I wanted new, warmer gloves. These fit perfectly and have a double hook and loop fastener that help keep rain out.
Not so sure the touch screen fingertips work however I’m sure I’ll manage without.
Great quality and seem well made. I would recommend highly.
Replaced my Held leather gloves for winter, exceeded all expectations for what is a fair price at the time of purchase. Very warm and comfortable on the inside, only snag is sizing, I'm technicall an XL glove size, however for these, they're just a little too long for my fingers. Not enough to cause trouble but you may find that extra bit of space. Well worth to try on in-store / measure instead of relying on just what you usually may get.
Overall a solid product and worth the price and consideration.
I love these, they are warm and dry but without the bulk so I can easily get to the controls switch gear.
Really comfortable.
This is a great glove for those cold ish mornings. I would say they are not a winter glove but an Inbetween . I can vouch for them being waterproof. Sizing was spot on for me ( large) . The cuff is a good length so goes over your jacket . The only downside side in the phone sensitive finger pad, does not work at all.
My son is very happy with his gloves.
