As others have mentioned, go up one size, I normally have an 8 but the size 9 were perfect. Easy to get on with having short side zip, but yes, you do still need to fasten the laces as well. Really well made by Richa, I worked on the fact they've been making bike gear since 1956, so they know a thing or two. Lovely soft leather (will need a short break-in period) and look fabulous. Photo was after a short session on the bike and they clean up brilliantly, I'm very happy with them.

Best Timberland looking boots for riding

I started riding 8 years ago and have always been a big fan of the retro biker look; my first bike was a Triumph Bonneville.

I have always been a fan of Timberlands and so was amazed and instantly fell in love with these boots as they look almost identical.

Initially the fit (size 10, eur 44) was snug. Not tight but my big toe had pretty much no space. This was only an "issue" when walking around off the bike. On the bike, they were just as comfortable as any of my other boots.

However, after breaking in, they are far more comfortable. My toes have enough space when walking around, so long as I don't wear socks that are too thick.

I found them easy to put on, despite having a zip that could do with being a tad longer. One thing I noticed was the little velcro strap wasn't sticking as well as it possibly could. But that was easily fixed by tying the shoe laces in such a way that the strap stayed in place.

All-in-all a great looking, comfortable boot that is perfect for stylish summer riding.

A good value boot, comfortable and have a decent sole. Zip makes them easier to get on and off but still have to untie and tie the laces too.

These boots are amazing. They’re super comfortable and I can wear them all day if I have to and I won’t notice. They also look great and blend well with any outfit considering they’re gear. They feel well built and usually last long. Definitely recommend.

Awesome boot, spent ages deciding what to get, wasn't disappointed with these, rang sbs for advise on sizing, they advised to go up a size, fitted perfectly, sbs staff always friendly and happy to chat 10/10 boots are comfortable on and off the bike.

I like the styling - they look good being worn on or off the bike. Seem to be well made. I usually wear a size 10.5 but the size 11 is a good close fit.
A little stiff at first but soon loosened up and are now very comfortable. Although there are side zips you still have to undo the laces when putting on and off. Overall I'm very pleased with the boots.

Bought these as a multi purpose use boot. Going abroad later this year so wanted a boot to wear that was cooler than normal high bike boots. Also wanted a boot that was more comfy off the bike. Looking forward to this year's Bike Show to be able to ride down and wear them all day as well. They are all day comfy after breaking in, they have very long laces which I cope with by wrapping them around the ankles one loop. I don't use the zip at all as I don't find it helps with getting them on and off. Haven't tried the waterproofness yet, apart from walking the dog through long wet grass, which they coped well with. They are a bit heavy but not in a bad way. They look good with jeans or bike trousers which means they'll get plenty of use....and they need to at this price! Very happy with a one does all boot!

Love the chunky look & feel if this boot. Wore them all day on the first cross country ride after I bought them, & no rubs or aches when finished. Only slight criticism would be the laces are far too long, but this wouldn’t stop me from buying them again.

I bought these boots as I wanted something that I could wear off the bike as well as on it. I found my present boots a little uncomfortable when taking pit stops or having a wander around small towns or villages.

These boots are really comfortable and give great protection. The soles are grippy and I've managed to wear them without adjusting the gear lever.
They look great too!
Mrs said I could wear them on a night out. Which is unlikely as I'm old and don't like people.
