Oxford DarkSeeker Sequential Indicators

Purchased these indicators partially because they were the sequential type and I wanted something brighter than the standard halogen ones. The first thing I did before installation was to test one from a 12 volt source using the resistor provided. I was pleasantly surprised on how bright they were and the sequential bit was quite effective although a little fast for my liking, also the other thing I was very worried about was the resistor got extremely hot, if this these were near to other wires they would have melted them for sure.

So I decided to ditch the resistors altogether and use an adjustable led relay instead and being adjustable I was able to slow the flash rate, purchased this from eBay for as little as £5 and it worked a treat, most importantly it removed the potential heat problem from relying on the resistors provided.

These indicators were easy to install however I had to cut off the connections and use my own as theirs wouldn't fit my setup.
Overall I am pretty happy with them now I have slightly slowed the sequential part using my adjustable relay. I'm not so sure about the dark lenses and given the choice I may have gone for a clear ones, shame oxford didn't do them on these particular ones.

If you anyone are going to use led lights I would definitely suggest ditching the resistors, identifying where your standard relay is on your bike and get a dedicated led relay preferable an adjustable one as to adjust the speed of the flash rate.

To finish off the quality of these indicators seem pretty good and being sealed there shouldn't be any issues with water getting in. Again they are very effective and fairly bright, makes for a much safer ride.

Bought these to replace the rears on my Bandit for its MOT. They are easy to fit, having the resistors in the kit is very handy. Got them fitted in 30 mins and they look good. Overall very happy.
