Great value heated gilet
18 Feb 2026 by Andy
Excellent bit of kit for those who brave the winter weather! Great on or off the bike.
I ordered 2… L and XL being a 43’ chest & kept the L which fitted just right, not bulky under my leather jacket and body length spot on, just shy of the bottom of my leather jacket.
Hassle free return & refund - thank you Sportsbikeshop!
The outer left pocket has a standard USB plug/cable & fits a large sized power bank. There’s a fabric divider in that pocket which is a nice touch, keeping the battery tucked away.
There’s a large rubberised on/off switch on the inside left, nice feature is it illuminates to indicate it’s on, and turns different colours according to the heat level.
The heat output is good, with 3 heated panels, top half of spine and below the pecs.
Other reviews said more panels would be good. I don’t disagree but for this price point you can’t go wrong.
I reckon the other bikers in my family will be ‘borrowing’ this when I’m not looking!

Comfortable and lightweight option for keeping war
06 Feb 2026 by Kevin R
I ride all year round, mainly commuting to work during the week. Therefore it is essential for me to find ways to stay warm on the bike in the coldest weather our lovely island has to offer in the Winter months. I have an RST waterproof textile jacket and trousers, which are great. But are a little bulky. Also, sometimes a little impractical for my needs.
I have a nice layering system to wear under my jackets (base layer, merino wool jumper and cardigan, fleece mid layer and then jacket) and this heated vest has been the missing piece (for long rides).
Initially I thought I had made a mistake, as the first time I wore it I couldn’t really feel any warmth from it. Then I realised I should put it on over the base layer and jumper, but underneath the cardigan and mid-layer and jacket. Since I did this my rides have been amazing.
The vest has three heat settings. I find the middle setting the best; warm enough to be comfortable and feel it, but not so hot that I need to adjust. Which is good, as the button to adjust the settings is on the inside of the vest. So if I wanted to adjust it, I would have to pull over and undo various layers to get to it.
The vest material is not to thin, but flexible enough as part of a layering system that I don’t feel chunky or stiff. It does not come with a battery, but I was able to get one from Amazon for £7. Battery life is around 4 hours of on again/off again usage. I haven’t had to do a 3 or 4 hr ride in on go yet, but I don’t envisage any issues when I do.
Just in case anyone is interested, so far, I haven’t had any issues with the cold affecting my arms. And, it’s most essential to keep your core warm, which this vest does. I can feel it more on the panels on my back. I can’t really feel it on my chest when going motorway speeds, but I am warmer than I was previously, so it’s obviously doing what it’s intended to.
All in all, this vest i a great option for keeping warm on the bike without the need for outlay for a full heated jacket. Also, I can wear it when off the bike and walking around too, which is very useful.

Good quality product

I play golf in the winter and this jacket gives me heat because I can't generate my own body heat as I'm unable to walk and have to use a buggy

Effective heated vest.

Good budget option, provides a nice amount of heat that is adjustable.
I found the fit true to size.
A couple of minor niggles:
Depending on size of battery pack you have, you can feel it whilst on the bike.
You cannot adjust the temperature on the move as the button is inside the jacket.

I'd considered a number of options and wanted something between Amazon and top-end heated bike kit.
The quality of the bodywarmer is very good and the garment works well as a standalone out and about on foot in the dry.
It heats to a reasonable level albeit the control is inside so you'll need to choose a setting before heading off on the bike.
I've used it on the bike and for dog walks. I've also used it to give me heat after a bike ride and I thoroughly recommend this product.
Sizing appears true.

Good warmish jacket.

Found large size a slightly tight fit, so go 1 size larger than normal.
Seems well made, but surprised no battery supplied and doesn't use as much power as I thought it would.
Gets warm, though but not as warm as an electric blanket, a few more heating panels would have been nice.

Toasty.

Needed a thin battery pack operated warm vest, so I bought this one from Sportsbikeshop and was not disappointed. Nice and thin, so it fits under my textile jacket, plug in the battery pack and away you go. There are 3 heat settings on the jacket, however I have only used one and two so far, as they are warm enough on the bike on a cold morning. I also think this product is good VFM at this price.

Questions and Answers
What sort of battery pack does this need? Just one suitable for charging a mobile phone?
November 4, 2024Yes, providing it has a USB A connection, you can use any power bank, we would suggest 10000mah upwards.
