Merlin Torsten TFL D3O Leather Jacket - Black

Size 42 fits as expected, this is a very well made jacket and all the stitching is neatly finished with no ,ooze ends. Relatively free movements around the arms and shoulders. The jacket does keep you cool Whicker is surprising considering its weight. Lovely feel and smell.

Very comfy and well made jacket feels light and plenty of ventilation.
Shame it doesn't come with a back protector as standard
And only one inside pocket but still a good purchase

This is a beautiful jacket - weighty, seemingly extremely well made, smells fab, great venting, nice removable insert and good protection which is pretty invisible from the outside.

Used it a few times now and it is really comfortable - lovely long sleeves which can be rolled back if it's hot and the light rain I experienced just sat on the surface.

All fastenings are really nice quality and the cut is excellent.

I initially ordered a 42. (I'm 6'4" and 90kg so this would normally fit). However, had to go 2 sizes up to a 46 to get the right fit, so best that in mind when ordering. SBS Preston were great, allowing me to return the first and order 2 others to try in store.

The "but..." is a strange one. For a garment that is so excellent, well designed made and executed, the inner label on the insert has a couple of sentences of description which look like it has been written by someone who has no knowledge of the English language & who was given an English dictionary and told to work it out for themselves.

For such a premium product, this is really poor QC. I dropped Merlin a line but they didn't seem interested.

I hope this lack of attention to detail doesn't mean that I find my lovely expensive jacket starts to fall apart any time soon!
