I hit 42 degrees in France and was riding around in the high 30s for a fortnight every day - only made possible by this jacket. Decent quality - fitted me well though i've never needed a 2XL before so maybe go larger on the sizing - XL was too tight across the shoulders for me. Given it a reasonably hard daily use for the last month or so and no complaints so far.

Great jacket for the hot weather

Nice fit, with good arm length (usually most jackets arm length is too short for me) Nice colour, light enough to not soak up the direct sun, yet sensible colour so every fly splat doesn’t look too bad! Great air flo due to the large panel areas of mesh.

Summer riding and looking good

Wearing an alpine tech air underneath. I’m usually a large so went to XL and perfect. We are all aware of the risks of summer time reduction of covers. This provides a comfortable and great cool riding experience. Looks tidy too!

Perfect for hot days

Always wondered whether mesh jackets were any good in hot weather so I decided to go for the Merlin as it wasn’t too expensive if it was a let down. I wasn’t disappointed
For me it was a game changer for hot weather, the air flows through as you ride and really cools you down in comparison to my alpinestars textile jacket. The sizing seems accurate I’m a 2xl in most biking gear and this fitted perfect . There are a few pockets 2 side , 1 sleeve and 1 inside sadly the inside pocket is Velcro not zip but it’s a small criticism really .The only downside is it doesn’t come with a back protector but can fit any D30 which I got separately and wasn’t too expensive. All in all a good bit of kit at a good price and as usual from sportsbike shop delivered next day

Lovely jacket usual high standard from Merlin. I bought a xl and it fits perfectly great airflow just what I wanted. Would highly recommend and service from sbs was fantastic as always.

Fantastic buy. Must have for hot weather/summer. All you need is a windbreaker for slightly colder days (I used my waterproof jacket and helped control temperature. Never got too hot thx to it).

The jacket is well made with a combination of mesh and a fabric. It doesn't have a removable liner for when it cools down but you can wear another layer. The colour is great and you don't look like a power Ranger going into shops. I am a 46" chest and 40" waist, I went for the 3XL which fits well. It s a quality jacket at a reasonable price. The only reason for 4 stars is because it doesn't have a zip out liner.
