The style is all about city riding, but the Oxford Barkston is more versatile than that
It's a really nice jacket - has the usual Oxford removable liner which is really warm, but was more than comfortable without it when we hit the 20's a couple of weeks ago. I've not ridden in real rain with it yet, but it's come through some showers and stayed dry. The armour's a bit stiff on the elbows, but not uncomfortable. The blue's a little lighter in person.
Oxford's sizing's pretty variable - I've swung from XL (Mondial) to 4XL (Dakar) and back without gaining/losing any weight. This seems pretty much in the middle, but I'd suggest trying it on in-person if you can.
The jacket came on time and I am delighted with this garment the colour and fit are spot on (size xlarge) 180cm ht 89Kg removed the thermal liner as I want to use my own mid layer. Not tried out in bad weather yet but if there's a problem I'll come back to this review.
Top pocket is a little small but can fit Keys and ear plugs. I added a back protector which made the jacket not fit as well as when it was not in.
I have rode in the dry and it is very comfy and as a bonus my wife likes it.
Bought this as an alternative to my regular Klim jacket which is looking a bit worn these days. Also goes well with my scooter. Fit is very good, with the liner in there is room for a mid and baselayer. Probably not as many pockets as you might want though. If it is like my other Oxford jacket it should be properly waterproof, despite not being goretex. I haven't been out in the rain just yet though. I think the pockets are waterproof otherwise there would be a problem !
