Good upgrade.

Bought this kit since I needed to change over to a new helmet and thought I would try the wired microphone instead of the fixed boom which my SMH10 originally came with. I use flip front helmets and have always found it difficult to get the best position for the boom microphone so it is close to your mouth but does not get in the way of the helmet when opening and closing. The small wired microphone makes fitting and positioning much easier and seems to work just as well as the boom microphone. The kit comes with all the parts needed to fit it including new sticky pads and brackets etc.
Excellent service as usual from Sportsbikeshop who price matched it for me, since I preferred to buy it off them rather than a seller I had not used before.

My well used SMH10 was working well but the mic boom was very tatty and then the mount bracket snapped. This kit is excellent, the Sena now looks and works as good as new and for a fraction of the cost of a new intercom.

Excellent improvement to intercom

My old microphone broke so I replaced it with this wired micro that fits inside the helmet and its a huge improvement. Will get another for my good lady when we get home. Well worth getting, much better than the boom type microphone and excellent delivery and service from Sportsbikeshop as usual.

It's a little unclear from the picture. How does the microphone fit. Is there a internal option for full face helmets, and a boom for open faced?
February 12, 2019Yes, the boom microphone is at the very bottom of the picture, and is for an open face helmet. The wired microphone (which is just above the boom microphone) is for a full face helmet.
