The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
I am well pleased with these boots. they are excellent quality. the zip and velcro fastening is smooth and secure. On sizing, i'm a size 9 and having followed a review with regards to my previous pair of Richa boots, i ordered size 10. There was no such review on these Apollo boots, but i ordered size 10 again and they are a nice snug fit and very comfortable. Size 9 would have been too tight. So maybe a size up from your normal size. You can get them exchanged if they are not the right size. They measure 12 inches from floor to top of boot. They do not have a gear change pad, which for me isn't a problem since i ride an automatic 125. I haven't tested them for waterproof quality, yet but i have every confidence that they will keep my feet dry.
The boot is remarkably warm and more or less waterproof. The main problem I have experienced after 1000 km is that the gear shift lever has worn through the toe. There is no additional patch to protect the boot; however, most boots have this feature. I am going to visit the shoemaker and have a rubber patch glued on, which will be more than sufficient.
