Givi XS307 Xstream Tanklock Expandable Tank Bag - 15L
Customer Product Reviews
Great product excellent value
Took a punt on this as Givi say it fits to my Versys. Fitted easily enough, panicked when handlebars didn't clear bag, then took time to "Read Instructions" adjusted base fitment and Voila! It's look on my bike may not please all but it's secure and houses all my kit and is quick to fit and remove. Very pleased
Nice bag but not for my bike
I bought this bag as recommended by the Givi website for the 1250 RT the bag and features are fine but when mounted on the bike even in the furthest rearward position away from the controls on full lock it fouls the controls inc the horn that when you are not expecting it .........! I cannot use it!
Quality Bag but room for improvement
Bought this bag to go on my 1250GS. Not a big fan of the way it sits on the tank (needs to be positioned as far back as possible to prevent it interfering with the steering) it looks like it's hovering on the edge, it would be better if it followed the profile of the tank more. Very easy to take on and off (if you don't use the front strap which is very fiddly and I will end up cutting off, really don't think it's necessary) and seems to be secure. Would like the hole for charging cable to go through to the main compartment as well as the window top pocket as when touring I seem to have more and more things that require charging on the move. I think it's just the right size (I can still see my TFT screen and sat nav clearly) it does expand but only by an inch or so. The rain cover just fits in one of the side pockets leaving the main compartment clear. Easy to carry when off the bike either with the handle or the shoulder strap. All in all a quality well made bag at a good price (well it was from sportsbikeshop).
Great tank bag, took a few minutes to fit the mount and the bag then clips on and off the tank easily. The bag is raised off the tank so will not scratch it and remains very secure whilst riding. The bag itself is made to a high quality.
Does what it says on the tin
Doesn't fit my Triumph Tiger perfectly however good enough. Map case seems an odd size as it's close too but doesn't take A4 however a quick fold or cut sorts that. The quality is as you would expect from Givi and usual 1st class service from SBS
Perfect size & easy to fit
So easy to fit to the tank a 5 year old could do it. The bag is really easy to fit to the tank lock system too. A nice size, any bigger and you'll prob struggle to lean over it, not sure how you lean over a 30l bag. Comes with a rain cover.
Very Useful bag, but not perfect
Unlike some users I already had the flange for the tank lock bags as I had previously bought the 4 litre bag, but for holiday use we needed to raise our game, so I opted for this bag. It worked beautifully most of the time... Like a lot of other users I found the strap design a complete faff to use and debated about amputating it, but decided to persevere. For me personally the main irritant was the waterproof cover, not it's function because as a waterproof cover it worked perfectly in the rain we encountered, my biggest gripe was the colour of the thing.. in the wrong light conditions it bathed the screen of my sat nav in an eerie fluorescent green glow which made it almost impossible to see the detail on the sat nav display, my 4 litre bag has a black cover and causes no visibility issues, unlike the green item which really didn't help with navigating around the undergrowth in Slovenia... So apart from the strap and the cover it worked perfectly. Service from Sportsbikeshop was exemplary as usual...
Don't forget your Flange
The bag itself is excellent and great quality. Just what I need for my next big trip on my new BMW GS R1200 Rallye (2018) around Europe. However, don't forget to order your flange separately. I ordered the bag from the SBS and couldn't work how to fit the bag to my bike. It was only after watching a YouTube video and doing some online research that I realised I had to order the flange separately. Makes sense now, however I didn't spot this was mentioned on the SBS website when I was ordering the bag, although it wasn't that obvious in my opinion. Nevertheless, great bag and SBS are still fantastic.
Good fit for a Triumph Speed Triple R
Good but not that good Decent quality tank bag but let down by poor quality zips. By the time it had been opened and closed a few times the zips would just burst open of their own accord, Too fine a tooth I guess. Everything else about it is excellent.
Fits a Triumph Street Triple R 2013 nicely!
Quality of bag is exceptional. Nice and rigid so keeps its shape. With the tank bag at its furthest forward, it's just enough so your not pressed against the rear of it. As it's quick release you can't really leave your bike with it attached, so I've wrapped a 6mm cable/coiled cable looped through the handlebars and a padlock through the metal loops on the zips to secure the bag if I have to leave the bike(handy also if you want to secure your helmet too. You can fit the waterproof cover in the side pocket so you have maximum usable space in the main compartment. Easily big enough for daily commute or a night away. Doesn't impede view of clocks or restrict handlebar movement left or right but it's the biggest bag you can get away with on the Street Triple R. The strap when looped around under the frame head stock has about 3" adjustment left. One downside to the size of the tank bag is it stops you leaning forward even a little, which is an annoyance if your sitting on your bike and want to push it forward. Very good value and quality is 10/10. Not sure if this is 15 litres expanded or 15 ltres not expanded? but it only expand upwards an inch so there's not much difference either way. When filling up with fuel I just unclip it and flip it over to rest on the clocks out the way. One thing to mention, the bolts supplied are quite cheap mild steel black plated bolts not stainless like the ones originally on my fuel filler flap.
Not for a Multistrada
Very nice tank bag, well made and well thought out but just too long to fit my Multistrada so had to return it. Shame as would have liked to have kept this for longer days out and touring. Recommended if it fits your bike however.
