Richa Everest Textile Jeans - Black
Customer Product Reviews
I'm a 34, had to buy XL2 so make sure you try them on. Rode through rain and sunshine all fine, waterproof as they claim. One issue is that it has no vents so as an all day ride and the sun comes out you are in a plastic bag and you get warm. If I'm going out in wet weather fine but no good as an All-rounder .
Lovely product and service
I cannot fault your product or your service. Absutely 5 star !!! I had to exchange a couple of things due to incorrect sizing on my part. It was all effortless and communication from yourselves was exemplary. I wish every shopping experience was like this !!! Thank you :)
Richa Everest Textile Jeans
Firstly, can I say, that it an absolute pleasure to deal with people in Sportsbikeshop who are pleasant, knowledgeable about their products, friendly to deal with and considering the company's working practices including fast shipments and no quibble returns, they work like clockwork. Well done. I am one of those people who find fitting a nightmare as I am short of leg and large of belly. I have, after much back and forth, found an excellent quality pair of textile trousers in the Richa Everest jeans. Sized correctly, good comfortable fit and of course, in Richa, a quality brand that does exactly what it says on the tin. I would recommend both this company and Richa gear without fear and will certainly use both in the future.
Great value, haven't tested them in wet weather yet but they are very comfortable. Definitely buy a size up from your normal fitment. I'm normally a 34 waist and 5'10, but went 36 waist and short leg and they are ideal. Only negative is the lack of pockets, but my jacket covers that.
Bought a pair of these in a size xs to begin with as I have a fairly small waist but they were a fraction too small. SBS 1 for 1 swapped them with no fuss whatsoever and rapid delivery as is usual. The trousers themselves are extremely comfortable and have great flexibility. I can sit down and drive my car off the drive to move my back out with no issues at all. As fo the trousers quality I would personally say they are very good but not am amazing. Did a long ride in the rain which I stayed completely dry in but about an hour into the ride we had a torrential downpour which my crotch suffered in. However I'm not sure how many other pairs would stand up to that kind of weather especially as that is the first time water has ever made it though and for the price they are just what I am after. my only real gripe is that I would love another pocket on the left hand side just to keep some notes or loose change so I don't always have to take my tank bag but it's only a small issue. Brilliant pair of trousers with next to no issues, would 100% recommend to anyone as a decent set of waterproof bottoms.
Great Textile Trousers
Great pair of trousers, I was after something that would go over my work trousers for my daily commute. These have done the job perfectly, I'm a 34w 30l and got a medium, regular. I knew this was slightly risky as the medium would potentially be too small in the waist but I didn't want big baggy legs. Thankfully I can get in and out of these easily with trousers underneath as they are well elasticated around the waist, they are very comfortable and don't look too bad. I haven't tested the waterproof properties of these yet but I'm sure they will keep you dry in light rain for sure.
Good value troos
Would struggle to do better at this price point imo. Managed to get a reasonable fit (certainly comfortable) at the second attempt. Returning the first pair for exchange was not a chore. Seem pretty warm with the lining in and no under-trousers - on a naked bike too. With the lining out: ok up to high teens / 20C. Thereafter a bit sticky and uncomfortable, but to be expected as there are no vents to open. Zip and velcro fastenings below the knees are great - able to fit my Alpinestars touring boots underneath no problem. The knee armour is comfortable enough but doesn't feel as if it would offer great impact protection. This could just be my perception. Hoping not to test this aspect! Supplied with naff pieces of low-density foam for hip pads. Immediately replaced with aftermarket hip protectors nicked from my old textile trousers, though I had to trim these to fit in the smaller pockets. Only worn in light rain for less than 10 miles so far so can't really comment on their resistance to leaking. All in all I'm happy with this product so far - ideal for commuting duties.
Well worth the money!
I admit, I made a mistake when I ordered them - I ordered the small ones and, even though I'm on a strict diet, there's no way they'd fit. I asked for an exchange, Sportsbikeshop sent a returns label and even sent me the correct ones.....FREE! I've worn the jeans for a while now and they're comfortable with loads of padding, they're totally waterproof and they're brilliant at keeping the cold mornings away from the vitals. Very happy :-)
Warm and waterproof
This product is realy what I was looking for, keeps me dry in London's rainy days and worm also, I had to remove the inner layer because they become to hot for this time of the year, overall great quality and good product for the price.
Showerproof rather than waterproof
Brought these as a second pair and wore during my Recent DAS. Very comfortable, wind proof and warm. We had one day when it rained the whole day, and these remained waterproof for the first couple of hours, eventually they let water through. I have midrange and budget climbing gear which describes itself as showerproof, I would class these as that sort of protection.
