Verified Customer Reviews for Richa Everest Textile Trousers
Customers generally find these trousers warm, comfortable, and good value for money, though several suggest ordering a size larger for the best fit. They appreciate the quality and protective features but note that the sizing might be tricky. While many customers report satisfactory waterproof performance, a few mentioned getting wet in heavy rain. The trousers offer practical features like adjustable knee padding, removable thermal liner, and secure waist straps, making them well-suited for various weather conditions.
These trousers are very warm and dry, indeed even leaving my legs sweating at one point! They are well made, have a detachable inner lining, and good fastenings at the waist and ankles. I've not ridden without the inner lining in, but they seem like they would be rather well suited to wearing over jeans or the like if the inner lining is removed.
The knee armour, when standing (as some others have mentioned), is not on the knees at all but when in riding position, it falls into place. There are pockets for hip armour, which isn't included, but I managed to get some and shove it in and most types and makes of hip armour look like they will fit just fine.
As other people have said, get a size up from what you would normally wear.
As budget trousers go, these are rather good and I'm quite happy with them. Again, as previously stated, the inner can be removed which means that as well as my using them in these colder months, I can whip out that liner and use them during the warmer months too which is a big plus.
All told I'm quite happy with my purchase. Would have liked more pockets, but that is only a minor gripe as I wear a legbag to compensate for pocket space anyway.
Great stuff!
Warm & comfortable winter trousers at a good price. Not too bulky.
Reasonably well made budget trousers. Not waterproof but resistant for a while if it's a passing shower or short burst of rain. Light and warm. Budget shows with just a single waist pocket and slightly weird fly zip arrangement that conflicts with the stud buttons. One stud failed and Sportsbikeshop fixed it with no hassle on their fix and returns policy.
Good quality at an excellent price. Good long zip at the bottom of the trousers. I will be wearing these over jeans and the recommendation of going two sizes up is correct.
Very nice fit and lightweight. Have removed padded liner as not to be used in winter.
Do not breathe though, so you need coolmax leggings underneath otherwise you will get very sweaty in warm weather.
Seem good quality, haven't been tested in rain yet.
Richa are a top brand and these were priced and delivered exactly as expected by SBS. Not had a bad experience yet of either company. Great trousers and can be worn on their own or as over trousers.
They've stood up to the rain really well and not overly hot when the sun comes out.
Good fitting trousers nice and long so the don't ride up so much. Quite warm even with the inner lining removed though.
Legs are baggy so knee pads move around a bit, difficult to keep them in the perfect place
Got these to go with my Richa textile jacket. As suggested in other reviews, order a size up.
Feel comfortable and that they would offer good protection. Not yet used in rain so can't comment on how water resistant they are
Thank you for such a good service, product and delivery, will be ordering from you again.
Not worn these yet but fit well. They have a short zip to attach to jacket, unfortunately it's a short zip, my jacket has the long zip so won't work. There is 1 pocket on the right that's a good size it says they're waterproof but again not been tested in rain yet
Perfect fit, like a lot of customers as said get a size bigger than your normal size, I found these trousers comfortable and warm, haven't really worn them in heavy rain yet but so far so good
I have to say, these feel a bit bigger than I thought they would be, but that's because of the lining. I'm normally not keen on lining, but with the temperatures we've been getting, and how comfortable they are, I'm really glad these are in there. I also like how everything is adjusted: the double velcro belt and the zipper for boots. Honestly, for the price, these are unbeatable. I'll probably be wearing them most days this winter.
I ordered a pair of Richa Denver textile jeans in the clearance sale which to be honest were on the limit of my fitting size. They were really tight even with the lining removed so I took them back to the Reading branch. Knowing that they didn't have the Denver in a Medium I opted to try the Everest. Perfect fit though mine didn't have any hip protectors fitted as standard. They've been very comfortable so far though my first choice is normally my pair of Bull-it jeans.
Sportsbikeshop is always my first choice for my biking kit, always very fast and professional
Great value for money, very warm and waterproof, buy a size up as stated in other reviews. Fast and professional shipping ????
I went up a size and got a perfect fit. 37" waste 34 leg so I went for 2xl instead of xl but after one wear they sag around the knees where the knee protectors are. I couldn't have gone for xl, those wouldn't fit.
Wouldn't buy them again but good value for money overall.
Second time buying these trousers. Would recommend. Can wear them all day, and zips onto jacket.
