The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
Customers praise these boots for their comfort, durability, and stylish design. Many highlight the excellent fit and adjustable buckles, suggesting they are easy to wear all day. Despite occasional feedback about waterproofing and sizing variations, the boots generally deliver on performance, with protection for ankles and shins. Several customers recommend them over pricier alternatives, noting their quality build and grip. Although some have noted issues with sole alignment or water seepage, the overall satisfaction seems high, making them a worthwhile investment.
Had fox MX boots, Top protection, not much movement 5kg.
Forma, come ibln at less then half the weight, offer more flexibility and a water tight. The protection was more than adequate.! Took these to the abr festival this year, they were perfect.
I bought these in 2021, it is now June 2025 and i'm starting to think about replacing them. The inside of one heel is getting quite tatty, they really do need the superfeet insoles I added (now) and the outsides are as worn and battered as you'd expect boots that old, that have been through all sorts of weather (and airborne road crap) to look.
They are *not* 'proper' adventure boots because the soles aren't stiff enough. You wouldn't want to stand up on the pegs in these for hours at a time, nor rely on them if you come crashing down on some gnarly off-road adventure.
However, they're well built for road use, all of the fixings still function perfectly and the boots likely still have a few months in them even now - 4.5 years later.
If you're a road user who wants extremely comfortable (at usual size), waterproof boots that fit very well over leathers and also under textiles - get these if you can afford them. They're worth the money.
Very comfortable from the first time you where them ,safe feel all round great boot
Great boots, broke in quickly, really comfortable after a day
These adventure boots are really comfortable! The soles feel more like a walking boot - although the boot feels quite stiff at first it has softened up quite quickly!
The toe box is quite tall so it’s a bit more difficult to slip your foot under the gear shift…I’ve resisted adjusting the gearshift height and am getting used to it now.
I’m really pleased with the boots! Haven’t wet weather tested them yet.
They offer lots of adjustment and I’ve managed to find a good fit, even with my skinny legs!
Boot feels solidly constructed but is actually quite light weight which I like. Immediately comfortable and kept my feet dry in the rain of northern France. Would recommend.
These boots fitted well and were my normal boot size. They are very comfy and there is plenty of adjustment on the straps. I have walked in them and they seem better than past bike boots for grip etc. Not been in the wet with them yet. Only thing I had to do was adjust my gear lever as they are chunky and I need more space to get my foot under it.
Had a pair of the short Forma boots and they're my go to for warmer weather touring as they're so comfortable to walk around in off the bike. Bought these for those rides/trips where full length boots are a better choice. Like the short version, they're extremely comfy
Great comfort straight out of the box.
The ONLY boot (I've found so far) to fit around my huge calves.
Great protection.
Have worn on multiple 4-7 hour stints, yesterday in p****** rain!!! Feet stayed dry.
I went in to Sports Bike Shop to buy some Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots. Unfortunately, these were not comfortable and far too narrow for my feet, so, on the recommendation of Ride Magazine and the Shorts Bike Shop assistant, I tried on the Forma Adventure boots and they fit like a glove. I had a few problems adapting to the different feel when changing gear in these, but so far, they are proving a good buy. I will let you know once they have been tested for a few miles in the rain.
I've had these boots for a good while now so I can make a good evaulation of them.
Now that they have bedded in they are really comfortable, both on the bike and walking.
They're well made and very sturdy but flexible where you need it.
I've not been out in monsoon weather but my feet haven't got wet on any rainy rides, so all in all I'm very happy
Having had two pairs of the low version I decided to go for the tall version for more protection . Very well made and feel comfortable from the off with a good range of adjustment on the clasps . You will not be disappointed if you buy these , SBS came up trumps as usual with a price match ?
I have had these since 2023 and they are still going strong love them
hugs in all the right places
Bought these for my brother who is a seasoned biker and he loves them. Says the straps allow extra comfort and snugness ( his legs are chubby) ! The size is perfect and good quality even on the pricey side.
Wore them on a Sunday ride out very comfortable very supportive on the ankle. Nice and warm and kept my feet dry as well
Excellent quality boot very robust. Excellent service as always from the sportsbikeshop team
Excellent pair of boots. Comfortable and sturdy.
I really struggled to find boots that could fit around my calves, especially when trousers are added and these fit perfectly. Lots of adjustability around the calf, ankle and foot - great for when you have to wear thinker socks in the winter.
The waterproofing is okay. I rode 60+ miles for over 2 hours in a storm with very heavy continuous downpour and my feet remained dry for the majority of it but became a bit damp towards the end of the ride. I can't say I'm disappointed, considering my top half was soaked to the bone, I'd say these boots did rather well for the price I paid.
These boots are okay in terms of warmth, I've worn them in -3 degrees and they keep warmth in but they wont make your feet any warmer if they are already cold.
For the price I paid I am extremely happy and wont be replacing these boots for the foreseeable future.
Perfect fit straight out of the box. Usually a uk8 and as advised ordered a 43.
Not as bulky as expected so no need to adjust gear change.

We would say they are a standard fitting boot, that being said they tend to come up on the smaller size.
These boots have a good range of adjustment, that being said if they are not suitable we offer a free returns service for all mainland UK
These are between 13"-15" depending on the size you select.
