Oxford have launched the third generation of their Super Hoodie, combining the casual appearance of a streetwear hoodie with protection designed for motorcycling.
The Super Hoodie 3.0 builds on Oxford’s most popular riding hoody, with aramid reinforcements in key impact and abrasion zones. These sit beneath the outer fabric to maintain its understated appearance.
The Super Hoodie 3.0 is certified to CE Class A, the basic level, and comes fitted with protectors at the shoulders and elbows that meet the higher Level 2 within CE.
The armour is designed to be soft during normal use before hardening on impact to absorb and disperse energy. The elbow protector pockets also offer two height settings, allowing riders to position the armour more accurately.
A pocket for an optional back protector is included, while belt attachment loops and a short connecting zip can be used to secure the hoodie to compatible riding trousers or jeans.
One of the most useful additions is Oxford’s hood securing system. Two press studs at the rear hold the hood in place, helping to prevent it from flapping around when riding at higher speeds.
The hood opening can also be adjusted using a drawcord, while elasticated thumb loops help keep the sleeves in position and reduce wind travelling up the arms.
Inside, a mesh lining is designed to improve comfort, with ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem providing the familiar fit expected from an everyday hoodie.
Storage comes from traditional kangaroo pockets, but Oxford have added a water-resistant internal compartment inside the right-hand pocket and an additional internal stow pocket offers further carrying space.
The Oxford Super Hoodie 3.0 is priced at £129.99 and is available in sizes XS to 5XL across all four colour options: all-black, black with red trim, grey and grey camo.
