A Few Drawbacks Depending on How You Ride

I've been out with this helmet a few times now and have used it in a range of different riding conditions.

Overall, it's a good helmet and there are plenty of things to like about it. However, after spending some time with it, I've come to the conclusion that it just isn't quite right for the type of riding I do. For context, I ride a DRZ4 and split my time fairly evenly between road riding and light trails.

Unfortunately, I don't think it really excels at either.

Pros
Looks great
Very comfortable to wear
Lightweight
Excellent field of view
Cons
The top ventilation isn't great. As soon as you start doing anything even slightly physical off-road, heat seems to build up quickly around the top of your head and doesn't escape particularly well.
The visor positions could be better thought out. The gap when it's cracked open is too small to be useful, while the next position lets in a lot more air than I'd like. It feels like there's a setting missing in between.
Wind noise is reduced, but it's still noticeable. I'd definitely still be wearing earplugs on longer rides.
It feels caught between two uses. I can see it working well for riders doing long-distance adventure touring, but for more active trail riding I'd still reach for a proper MX helmet.

In the end, it's a comfortable, lightweight helmet with great visibility, but for the mix of road and trail riding I do, the compromises in ventilation and visor design mean it doesn't quite hit the mark.

Great helmet, sizing is spot on, I’m a M and it’s a perfect fit and I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s very comfortable, very light for an adv helmet. Easy to fit my cardo unit to it. All in all a great helmet and a reasonable price.

Airoh Bandit - Spicy Grey Airoh Bandit - Spicy Grey
A great price for a very good helmet. I've also owned the Commander 2, and I'd say the Bandit is nearly on par with it. The bandit is a bit heavier, and I don't feel the airflow through the vents is as good as the Commander 2. The speaker pockets fit the Cardo Edge 40mm speakers perfectly but, due to the shape of the shell, it's a little awkward finding the right spot to fix the intercom. I get hardly any buffeting, but if you want, the peak is removable. I tend to go for a medium size in a helmet, but with the Airoh Bandit/Commander 2 the small fits me better.

This helmet is so quiet and by far the best fitting helmet I have ever owned. It's lightweight, great vision through the wide visor, easy to fit intercom and the pinlock sure works great. No fogging at all. Amazing purchase.

Fits excellent, nice and snug without being tight and excellent cooling from top vent BUT VERY loud with top vent open which ruined it for me.

These two above are the gamechanger. Such a wide field of view and peripheral vision is as the helmet wouldn't be on. Very nice. Mesh filters in the vents it's really nice addition as insects won't enter inside.

Two minor bits. First - sun visor does the job, although is not a full-down one (about 3/4). Secondly, the lining seems tough and too small, but within ten uses it gives up comfortably.
