Advice & Guides You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
Slightly heavier than the more expensive commander 2 but imo looks so much better in terms of colour scheme. I opted for the grey and white. Sizing runs normal so just go with your normal size.
It’s my first ADV helmet and I tried several ‘cheaper’ end of the scale helmets on in store before ordering this and I couldn’t be more impressed. Really very comfortable with lively padding, a slick visor with a positive lock and a wide selection positions from locked, cracked to wide open. My only complaint would be the micro lock thing, I’m old school and would have preferred a double D but it works and that’s a personal thing. I would happily buy another again if needed.
Every thing I required was in store and staff were very helpful
Great adventure design, and the colours match the Honda CRF300 Rally perfectly!
A great price for a very good helmet. I've also owned the Commander 2, and I'd say the Bandit is nearly on par with it. The bandit is a bit heavier, and I don't feel the airflow through the vents is as good as the Commander 2. The speaker pockets fit the Cardo Edge 40mm speakers perfectly but, due to the shape of the shell, it's a little awkward finding the right spot to fix the intercom. I get hardly any buffeting, but if you want, the peak is removable. I tend to go for a medium size in a helmet, but with the Airoh Bandit/Commander 2 the small fits me better.
Never had Airoh before now and it’s well made comfortable and looks the part definitely recommend them.
I have an Airoh commander which is the best fittting helmet I have second only to a next xlifecountry. So I purchased this to match to cookouts to my GS (my commander is red to go with my moto Guzzi) I was tempted with this not only for the price point but also for the additional two cents and exhausts on this bandit. So glad a took the leap - the helmet is only just a little heavier than the commander but the venting is far superior with all other functions identical to the dearer commander. In addition it was easier to fit my cardo kit to this bandit too. So until they bring out a commander 3 I’m hooked on the bandit
Bandit is a 2-in-1 helmet able to adapt to every need thanks to the ability to transform from an adventure to a road helmet in a few seconds. The configuration with the peak, the on-off version, is perfect for the most demanding journeys, those that might include stretches on road, dirt road and even off road, while the naked version, without the peak and with the taps supplied, is perfect for long rides on the road, thanks to a greater aerodynamics and stability at high speeds.
