I ordered this visor system for my Arai Concept helmet, it wasn't available initially as Arai hadn't produced one for that helmet.
The idea of being able to switch between clear and tinted on the move really sounded like a great idea, and when doing long distance touring it's good not to have to carry another visor when space is at a premium.
First issue was that when the tinted section is in the up position it's very noisy, even with earplugs. When it's down, it's no noisier than a standard Arai helmet fitted with vents, ok with earplugs. The clear portion that's left at the bottom of the visor when closed is useful for the reading of satnavs. Second issue with this system is when the tinted visor is up with the clear section in the slightly "cracked" open position for ventilation is the tendency for it to flip up when doing "lifesavers"
This eventually was it's downfall. I was travelling along a dual carriageway and did a lifesaver look over my left shoulder to see if anything was merging at a junction and "Snap" the tinted section just flew off, taking one of the outer triangular shaped fixings with it. My immediate thought was "Good riddance!"
Now you might think speed was an issue but my bike is a 1972 Norton Commando so make your own mind up with that!
To sum up:
With the tinted section in the down position in bright sunlight it worked well, despite looking through two layers. When it was up it was just a pain.
Keeping both visors clean also had it's issues.
