This adaptive visor is excellent. It changes quickly depending on conditions. Highly recommended. A bit expensive but it is worth it.

For me just the right amount of tint that takes the glare away but still allows me to see in shady areas under tree's etc

Yes there are cheaper knock offs but if you want something that lasts longer then this is the way to go.

My original broke just above the clip on the front, was replaced under warranty. Then second broke in same place, replaced with this one which broke on the 4th outing in just over 30 days.

SBS told me had to send to HJC for investigation and wait 14 days, waited nearly 23 days. Then SBS sent another.

After riding with the tinted visor for a while and still squinting in bright sunshine I expected the dark smoke version to make bright days more comfortable. What I didn’t expect was just how much it would reduce eye strain and improve my confidence in bright sunshine.

The optical quality is exactly what you’d expect from Arai - super clear with no distortion. Looking through it feels completely natural, not like you’re peering through a cheap tinted screen. Even with the dark tint, colours remain true and everything stays sharp.

The biggest benefit is in really bright summer conditions. When the sun is low or reflecting off wet roads, it can be dazzling and even dangerous. This visor cuts through that glare brilliantly, allowing you to keep your eyes relaxed and focused on the road ahead instead of squinting or constantly adjusting your head position.

The Max Vision design also provides an excellent field of view. The quality is first class, the fit is perfect, and it seals exactly as an Arai visor should.

What I liked

What I disliked -

Honestly, very little. The only real downside is that it’s so good in bright conditions that it’s too dark for evening, night-time or poor weather riding - not a fault of the product; it’s the trade-off for superb sun protection.

If you regularly ride in bright sunshine and understand when this visor should and shouldn’t be used, it’s one of the best upgrades you can make to an Arai helmet. The reduction in glare isn’t just about comfort—it can genuinely improve your ability to see the road when the sun is bright.
