Knox Honister Mk2 armoured mesh jacket review
Knox’s AAA-rated Honister Mk2 blends serious protection with summer-ready airflow, offering a clever layering concept

Fits well and I’m far from ideal shape, it feels nice on, stretchy so feels secure on, armour stays in place, generous back protector, used it so far between 19° and 28° and felt good (just alter thin base layer to be ideal)
I’ve got their 3 in 1 jacket to go over the top so hopefully should be the only jacket I now need
I bought this jacket when visiting the U.K. from my home in the south of France. My UK bike gear is just too hot for the region I live in. This jacket is better than I expected, you can feel the air moving through the jacket, helping to keep me cool. I rode home when the temperature was 38 degrees, I was comfortable all the way. The only niggle I have is the plastic straps on the cuffs which when closed tightly, don't hold the folded over material in place, resulting in the cuff moving up the arm and the plastic being left on my wrist. I will probably alter this and sew velcro strips on.
Im very happy with the jacket. Its lots better than all the other alternatives. Having loads of pockets just like a proper touring jacket. The AA rated armour again is better than the alternatives and you get a light weight rain cover. Yes it's more expensive than a lot of alternatives but well worth the money.
Jacket not as cool as expected and quite heavy . After only one use zip on outside pocket broke and will have to be returned under Warranty a bit disappointed considering the high initial cost
The stretchy mesh on the front allows for a better body contour and increased comfort. It has a comfortable and mobile form, the front chest mesh doesn't appear to be armoured but makes it more comfortable.
Simply brilliant. Triple A protection, then you can add the optional chest armour as well. Quality of material is exceptional.
When chiller I simply have a hoodie over the top to give the best of both worlds.
Would recommend without question.
Fantastic upper garment that is tea bag design to allow air flow through. AA rated so plenty of protection. Fits like a glove (I got one size larger than normal). They say it’s a jacket and it kind of is but I prefer to wear a T-shirt over which personally I feel looks a lot better.
This is a summer garment which I bought for my hot continental tours meaning I arrive as fresh as can be in the 30° plus heat.
If you ride in cool weather you can layer up but prob another jacket would be preferable.
I love this jacket. Best piece of summer kit I’ve ever had.
