ECE 22.06 approved, quiet, aerodynamic touring helmet with wide view, air filter and comfort lining

The Schuberth C5 is a feature packed helmet that has been designed from the ground up to meet the ECE 22.06 standard, sharing no parts with its predecessors. With over 200 hours of wind tunnel testing, the shell profile and neckroll help create a perfect seal of the helmet shell, allowing the C5 to achieve the remarkable result of approx 85 Db(a) at 100 km/h on a naked bike.

Additional features include an anti-roll off safety system and customisable high quality comfort interior. Ultimate ventilation is also provided with dual chin air intakes with washable filter, combined with a rear spoiler exhaust and uncovered EPS ventilation channels. It also comes fitted with a Pinlock 120 antifog lens, along with pre-installed HD speakers and antenna ready for the optional Sena SC2 intercom system. The C5 is the perfect touring helmet.

A few hundred miles into using this helmet now and I'm happy. Wind noise hasn't been an issue at all, just as quiet as my neotec or hornet lids. The peak does move a little at high speed but it's a one off move up at speed and a move down when slowing. It's doesn't flip about willy nilly and it's five millimetres at most. Not an issue for me. Visor optics are excellent.
The fit was a little tight but the custom pad kit resolved that. Fitting the comms took less than two minutes.

All in all it's a good lid and SBS service was 5* as always.

After a hot stuffy summer inside my old helmet thought it was time to upgrade. Chose the C5 over the very latest Shoei as it had already gone past the launch high price phase. It's quieter, more comfortable and better ventilated than my old C3. Also the visor closing is greatly improved. Very pleased and worth the extra.

Comfortable helmet, sound levels are good although I still wear ear plugs for hearing protection but can still comfortably hear music etc. Good how it comes pre fitted with speakers, connecting sc2 was so easy compared to neotec 2 etc. Agree with some reviews about air vents feeling a bit cheap but my only real criticism would be the extra velcroed chin protector gets caught on mic when opening/closing lid. Overall very good helmet.
