Unlike other purchasers, easy to do & fully waterproof. Feel like a giant condom but function over form wins.
Perfect service. Thank you.
Great, waterproof, have kept me dry in the extreme rain storms. Bit of a faff to put on, but you get use to it.
Reviewing to give info on fit only. Not tested in rain yet. Seem good quality though. Lots of extra baggy material for me but I know these are designed to go over everything else and one size fits all in terms of width. Would've preferred medium but medium was too tight round my ass when sat down so had to stick with large. Medium pulled down on my shoulders in seated position and would've been uncomfortable on the bike.
I got this for a 4 day tour of wales. It rained at numerous intervals on A and B roads when I was travelling at less than 60 mph. I was also on a motorway and travelling at 70 mph and there was torrential rain for a continuous 1 hour period. I stayed absolutely dry top to bottom in all these times and waterproofing was brilliant. Can't fault it. However on this very first trip, the zip detached. It doesnt have ykk zips which could be an improvement point. I could zip it up but I could still close the suit with the velcro lining. And just the velcro closure on its own did the job well and kept me dry. Excellent service from SBS as they replaced it due to the faulty zip.
Good product, well made, I wore it in some heavy rain the other day it kept me 100% dry.
I am 60 and over the years I have tried many other makes…. I keep coming back to these as they are relatively easy to put on at the side of the road. The outside diagonal zip is long and provided you use the Velcro to cover the zip properly it is water tight all day. I always place the end of the sleeve over my gloves and this is also relatively easy with a gloved hand, which is not always the case with other makes. The waterproofing lasts about 12 -18 mos with daily winter use, but longer if you use for summer only. Highly recommended.
To start with, I have to say I returned this item. For no other reason than it didn't suit my needs. I'll explain.....
I wanted something that I could carry on long trips, that if the heavens opened, I could stop and put on at the roadside, without sitting down or taking my boots off.
I put all my bike gear on and did a trial run and failed. Couldn't get my boots through the legs. Not because the legs were too tight but because the lining in the suit would snag onto the boots and turn itself inside out as my foot came out of the bottom of the leg. Resulting in having to remove the boots to put it on. Also when on and zipped up the cuffs at the ankles rode up my leg to my shin when sat on my bike and the body section of the suit was massive, so much excess material to flap about. When in its own bag and around your waist its probably the size of a rugby ball.
All that being said, it did seem to be very good quality and I have no doubt it would work a treat and do exactly as intended. Just didn't meet my requirements.
I went a size up as I put over a set of leathers with a back bump - probably did not need to. Suit works well and has kept me dry through a number of rain showers. Good quality and easy to get on and off.
Got caught out on an overcast day (no rain forecast) on my way to look at a bike 150 miles away about half way through, ending up under a flyover trying to put on my first ever wet weather overall.
It was fun ripping off the label's and putting one of my feet in the arm but got there in the end and was on my way in 5 minutes.
Great suit and for a novice easy to put on, hopefully be good next time, oh and it packs up to bum bag size!
Was looking for a 'just in case' overall I could throw on over my bike suit and this fits the bill perfectly. I ordered a size extra which proved to be the right decision. It's quality piece of kit to add to the adventurers gear. Highly recommend
Excellent quality overall, I am 18stone and 6'1" so went for the XXXL and its a perfect fit, had to ride for over an hour in awful conditions and it kept me warm and dry. off to Scotland next week so will no doubt be using it again in anger.
Great product highly recommend
With a 1000 mile Highland tour coming up, what I wanted here was something to carry in my top box and chuck on quickly if the weather turned. Based on the sizing information, I chose according to my regular riding gear.
It took me FIFTEEN minutes (sitting down) to fight my way into this, only to find that it was then a good 8 - 10 inches shy of zipping up. WAY too small!!
No point going further - it went back and I got an Oxford one that I can pretty much jump into, much like my old Hein Gericke one...!!
The fit was great over bulky gear.
I was caught out in some heavy rain and it's kept me dry every time. Works well as a windblocker in cold weather too.
Seems to be well put together so hopefully it'll last well.
A well made suit for that just in case moment on a tour. Folds down into a small size and is waterproof.
The fit was as described, the Richa is designed to be worn over existing riding clothes, so if you are medium the order medium easy.
Easy to put on - good fit keeps the wind and the wet out.
As they say 100% waterproof.
Unpacked and tried on over bike gear, a little awkward to put on, so glad I opted for the large. Feels good quality and I'm pleased with purchase
I'm very satisfied with this product, last few weeks was a bit cold so this one kept me warm, I went out in - 4 in the morning and the typhoon do superb job! Highly recommend
Good quality material feels strong
I'm 5 10" 16 stone and purchased XXL to fit over my leathers and hoodie for winter riding and it fits well
Keeps the wind chill off you too.
