Gerbing 12V Long Y Splitter

The cable supplied is not like the cable in the picture. The new cables have 90 degree angles on the connector that either joins the gloves or the socks.
This causes the cable to bend severely at that point, which is the weak point anyway.
It looks like the Keis cable is still straight, and you can buy adapters to change the pin size to suit the gerbing connector, which may be a better option.

Ok, so bought another two this time, one for a friend and the other for myself. The plug end hangs from the bottom of my jacket. I came home and it caught on the garden gate latch. By the time it pulled me up, it was to late, I had broken the cable.
These are great bits of kit to hook up your Gerbing gear. The Y splitter would benefit from being a bit longer. Reminds me of my woolly gloves mum made me wear that were connected through my sleeves with a string. So when you stretched one arm the other contracted..

I am a daft idiot! Sold my bike earlier in the year. I kept the splitter cable tucked under the seat when not in use and of course as soon as it turned cold, I go to my new bike with my lovely gloves on only to find there is no way to plug in!!!
Anyway, back to the plot. I bought this to replace the one I gave away. They work just as they should do. BUT, you do have to take good care of them. The contacts in the socket will corrode very quickly. This is my third, the first one corroded to badly to use. Yes I know they have a cover cap. I didn't use it soon enough. My bike is a daily ride and I wash off nearly every night in winter weather and that wash can leave the socket wet if not covered immediately after use. So, very good, works as it should do but COVER up as soon as you unplug.
