Just come back from trip to Yorkshire dales and this jacket was great waterproof liner worked when we had showers and great when it got hot

Great lightweight summer jacket that’s comfortable and performs well on a warm day on the bike. I wanted a light breathable jacket for the summer and this one looks great, offers excellent value and is a reasonable price. The added bonus of the waterproof inner liner makes it ever more flexible than other fully breathable jackets.

Not for the cold but what a joy to ride in in the summer however I do wear a Knox armoured jacket underneath

Can't recommend this product highly enough. I bought this just before a hot dry spell of weather and it has been a life-saver! It's a light-weight mesh jacket which just lets so much air through. It's not ALL mesh, which I guess helps with the AA rating but large sections of the front and arms are pretty much see-through. There are a couple of useful zipped outside pockets plus an inside pocket. The jacket zips up with a rugged zip and the collar is about the right height. The velcro adjusters on the sleeves are a bit awkward to use and in the heat I have just left them as wide open as possible. It comes with Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour. I had to add a back protector so got the Oxford Level 2 protector which fitted perfectly. However, if I have a negative, it's that the back protector is so heavy that it pulls down the back of the jacket and the front rides up at my neck, causing me to pull the front down every so often. I have now replaced the back protector with the small/Medium Rheon back prtector which is much lighter and pretty much eliminates the problem. It also came with a water-proof liner which I haven't tried yet but I'm not sure I'd use this jacket in a downpour anyway - I'd pop my Oxford Rainseal jacket on instead! I guess the liner might be useful in slightly cooler summer weather. With the Green jacket at just £100 it was a bargain that will, I'm sure, be useful for many summers to come.

Good jacket, proved to be very comfortable in the recent warm weather. Inner liner very easy to remove and re-fit, not had the chance to test in the rain as yet. The jacket is quite a snug fit around the waist so a bit more adjustment would have been nicer. This was on offer so the price made it an even better buy.

This is nice lightweight jacket with decent armour for elbows and shoulders. I also paid for the AA back armour which is a little short but offers some protection and is a good fit in the pocket. I chose it mainly based on the slightly unusual but stylish colour scheme which sets it aside from the run of the mill black or garish racing colours. I ride mainly in dry summer conditions so the airtex suits warm summer days. For me I wouldn't use it without the zip in waterproof/windproof liner below 20 deg C. I'll be wearing it with my armoured jeans and summer gloves for warm evening bike-meets rather than getting into hot clammy racing leathers, boots and gloves.
It's typical Oxford quality at a great price.

I have to admit that for the price I wasn't expecting much but this jacket exceeded expectations. It looks good and fits well; I am a 42 chest and the Large was perfect. It's comfortably snug over a T shirt with the liner in and is very comfortable with it out. It has a good length at the back as well.
On a humid day I found the air coming through the mesh very refreshing.
I can't vouch for it's waterproof qualities as I haven't worn it in the rain.
The only thing I would have liked is a specific pocket for a mobile phone but otherwise, at this price you can't go wrong.

The waterproof liner is what makes this jacket worthwhile. Very seldom are the days hot enough and dry enough to justify buying a mesh jacket, but the liner allows you to wear it throughout the summer. It is well made and true to size, and at £99 for this colour it’s a real bargain.

Given a 4 star rating only because of the build quality not being exceptional, in fairness you can’t expect this at the price. It is lightweight, haven’t been able to try on a scorching day (Scotland), size is accurate, don’t buy it to be big as there is plenty of airflow. Add the back protector for £25 it’s a no brainer. You wouldn’t use it for all weather touring, so this really is for warm days or Fly ride Med tours. Really pleased with it.

Saw the Ride magazine review for this and at the discounted price too good to miss. With the lining out this has been fantastic in the recent hot weather. Sure, some of the details could be better - the collar is a bit scratchy and with back protector in it pulls the jacket back a bit but still a great buy

Very happy with this jacket, it really is ideal in hot weather, particularly useful if you do trips abroad.
Good quality as you would expect from an Oxford product.
The sleeves seem to be rather long so thats good if you are on the tall side. Very strange how there is only one inside pocket. So wallet, phone, specs etc all have to be squeezed in.

Perfect for riding in the warmer summer days or when touring Europe

Great quality as usual from Oxford clothing, super light weight and the mesh is great on hot days. Removable liner is looks and feels good although not personally tested in the wet yet. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and comfy, definitely a summer jacket , holds up well during a shower.

It's consistently good quality and excellent value. I purchased this jacket as I wanted a summer jacket with decent rain protection. I have just come back from Holland and Belguim and I can say it performed very well. It was cool enough for 20+ degrees and survived the rain showers without any rain ingress.

I wouldn't suggest it's as good for rain as your more robust jackets, but for the odd shower, it was perfectly good.

And the colouring is a little different from the stock photo but a nice contrast from the normal black which you see everywhere.

If it's on offer, and even if it isn't, it's well worth buying.
