Great Item for Heatwave Airflow
10 July 2025 by Teifion
I bought the Green which was reduced by a lot compared with the other colours ??‍♂️ Elbow armour was pinching, just make sure it’s fitted properly. Collar will take some wear to soften up. Quality product.

Comfortable in the heat
10 July 2025 by Jim
Great jacket for hot weather I've not needed to use the waterproof liner yet. I changed the elbow and shoulder armour to D30 ghost as the original armour is ok but a bit rigid in such a flexible jacket. D30 medium size ghost back protector fits perfectly (the large D30 was a little long for the pocket)
I brought the large size im usually a large in oxford stuff and 52-54 in other makes

Cool as a cucumber

Perfect jacket for riding in heatwaves!!
I tested mine out on a day that it was 30 degrees, and was contently cool while moving along at 40mph and above, but as I ventured out in the Peak District the air temperature dropped another 10 degrees from that which I set off in, and was now at a cooler 20 degrees, this is when I started to get COLD, and this was also on a motorcycle with very good wind protection!
So I soon realised the limit for this jacket was a minimum of 23 degrees, this is without the inner liner fitted of course - which I left at home for this VERY HOT ride out…

Tight on the biceps
08 July 2025 by Robert K
I have no idea why there is a pop stud adjuster on the biceps? I cannot get the jacket on with anything other than a skin tight base layers or t-shirt on. Even then it's very tight over the biceps, I'm concerned that I might regret keeping it if I do some rough stuff and the muscles warm up.

Great lightweight jacket
06 July 2025 by Anonymous
This jacket fits really well, is very lightweight and flexible. I used to use the oxford kickback shirt for the summer but this is more comfortable and keeps me cooler in the heat. The inner waterproof lining is a nice touch incase you get caught in the rain or just want to use it as a wind blocker.

Well designed, light and decently cool.

Practical design, good ventilation and light. It could do with one more internal pocket.

More Than Just a Mesh Jacket
05 July 2025 by Paul S
I had previously owned an Oxford mesh jacket but the size was never quite right so I decided to purchase another mesh jacket which fitted better. After trying on a few alternatives The Oxford Dakar was in my opinion the best fit and was also a step towards a more general purpose jacket because of the more substantial design.
To be honest, with the water proof liner in place and a base layer it would work as a jacket in a wide range of weather conditions.
The liner zips out easily and folds to a small size so that is easy to carry separately.
Stretch in the elbows really makes a difference. Usual great service from SBS.

Great for the heat, needs a larger pocket.

Bought the large and it fits well for tall and slim (6'1", 73kg). Amazingly cool when the waterproof liner is out, can be a bit sweaty with the liner in if you are not moving. The rolled up liner just about fits in the inside pocket of the jacket but leaves a bit of a bulge - Oxford missed a trick on this by not providing a larger rear pocket the liner and other bits and bobs would fit in more easily. Absolute steal when in a deal for £99 but remember to buy the additional back protector plate if you need one.

Amazing service from Sportsbikeshop and Great Jack
04 July 2025 by Mick H
This jacket exceeded my expectations. I can be quite critical about things I purchase but I honestly cannot fault this jacket in any way. The sizing is accurate and the quality is better than expected. Unlike others I have tried, there is no restriction in movement at the shoulders so it is perfect for sports, adventure and touring bikes. Really handy waterproof insert which actually will also fasten on the outside too. I can't leave a product review without mentioning the fantastic service from Sportsbikeshop.

Well made & comfortable
04 July 2025 by Paul A
Replaced an ancient mesh jacket that had negligible protection. Oxford have really upped their game recently & are making quality kit at reasonable prices. The green version was discounted & at £99.99 was a bargain. I wasn’t sure about the colour but in the flesh it looks ok. I’ve worn the jacket on some really hot days & it is a lot nicer than a regular jacket. I’m 6’ tall with a 40” chest & the large is a good fit. I haven’t worn the liner that comes with the jacket but it looks good quality too looks & as if would do the job if caught in a downpour. The liner does attach to the outer jacket but would be a faff if caught on the road so I would just slip it on without doing up the fixings to the outer. I also bought the Oxford level 2 back protector as the jacket comes without one. It’s a little stiffer than the back protector in my Klim jacket but it was only £20.

Brilliant for the heat
04 July 2025 by James
Great jacket. I usually just buy black but I like these colours. It's also comfortable and performs well. Hopefully I never have to find out how good it is in a crash. It seems quite a close fit and a bit shorter than my other jackets but it's not too short.

Great jacket
02 July 2025 by John
I bought this jacket from Sportsbikeshop to keep cool in the recent hot weather! I've done over 1000 miles in it and the jacket is really comfortable and keeps me cool. I rode back from Dave's day Barrow in furness to Northamptonshire with the waterproof liner attached and it kept me completely dry. The liner is easy to remove and reattach. The quality and finish is excellent I would highly recommend this jacket.

Smart and cool
02 July 2025 by Simon B
This jacket has been a godsend in the recent hot weather, keeping me comfortable when my other jacket would have been way too hot. I also like the style and the green colour looks great. I've not tested the waterproof liner which is lightweight.
