Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...

Design, build and function good at the price. No particular issues. Happy with the good range of velcro adjustment on lower leg rather than a zip.
To warm so far which is a good sign. Appears showerproof so far. Disappointed with knee armor floating all over place and bottom of trousers Velcro not long enough so cannot fully tighten around boot. I can fix both but knocks of two stars.
As with the jacket there are no zips at the ankles but the velcro fastening is more than adequate to tighten around boots. Braces are an added bonus. Plenty of adjustment in braces and waist straps. Warm and comfortable and waterprooof
I was always a full leathers guy in my forty years off riding a motorbike. In my later years it has become more difficult to get a perfect fit for a good feeling and comfortable ride.
I opted to go for a all weather option and now wish I had done this years ago. What a difference more room to move loads of pockets, better wind and rain protection and fully adjustable to get a comfortable fit.
I now have the jacket and trousers and I am looking forward to winter riding because they are so comfortable.
Bought a set for my 15 year old, good quality fit well and looks the part, next purchase will be a set for myself.
These trousers are what you'd expect from a decent brand like oxford. Solid good protection. Warm with a removable layer and flexible enough with the knee pads. They go over my boots well solid feeling pockets on the thigh as well easy access.
I bought the Oxford Calgary suit in early May 25 for a 3000 mile bike tour to Europe, including 3 days in the Italian Dolomites and 3 days in the Alps. For the early start to the Channel Tunnel, 4C, I wore the thermal liners; these were removed at the first night’s stop and remained in my top box for the rest of the 14 day trip. The suit kept me warm, with just a thin fleece underneath, over some of the mountain passes (down to 5C), cool along the Italian Med coast (28C) and dry through 2 days of heavy rain (base layer completely dry). The wrist and ankle cuffs easily allow fitting gloves/boots underneath and the Velcro flaps make fastening and sealing the cuffs very easy. A very comfortable and effective suit which well deserves its Ride recommendation and offers incredible value.
Comfortable true sizing and too warm!! Had to take the liners out as it’s 10-12 degrees C outside
Well made trousers, CE AA rated, reasonably priced too.
Was looking for another pair of trousers which weren't baggy at the knees, but would zip to my non Oxford jacket, these fit the bill.
Waterproof and warm with the liner in. The braces are great.
Velcro adjustment at the lower leg holds the armour in place and stops the trousers flapping about.
Simple pants - but so far very effective. Definietely waterproof. Landing on my knees in the puddle and staying dry proofs it. Really love the braces. There are only 2 hip pockets, but they are reasonably large and sufficient. The most important for me - they fit over or inside my boots. Also - not sure whether intenctionally - there are no zip locks or any hard elements at the bottom of the trousers - so when you put pants in the boot - nothing to dig painfully into your shins. Reasonably priced, no-nonse piece of kit.
