The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
These fit well like my Dakar Gaerne's - I have big long feet with high instep and its always a gamble between 47 and 48. The larger size was better. Gaerne's, whilst Italian, seem to fit Anglo Saxons unlike Sidi which I always think are designed for Romans.
On the bike the construction means I can just feel the brake. The toe cap, whilst tough, does still enables slick gear changes.
The boots off the bike are not for dancing but are OK for a bimble walk around a town.
I have not ridden in the wet with them but they should be OK with waterproof trousers over the top of them.
These were an addition to my Dakar boots for days when some walking around is likely. Very comfy and still stiff enough to give top protection.
Nice looking boot with a good fastening system, size is good, I'm size 8.8-9, and found the toes area a bit tight as if the boots aren't quite wide enough
Can't fault this service, really fast and easy to use these boots are so comfy and seem well made the straps adjust and buckles are sturdy and snap when closed, early doors yet but very happy
These boots are well made and fit perfectly made possible by the easily adjustable straps.
The double click is reassurance that the straps are locked.
Changing gear is not impaired when wearing these boots.
How waterproof they are will be tested at some point, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
