 Advice & Guides
Advice & Guides You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...

Customers are generally pleased with this helmet, noting its comfort, lightweight design, and spacious field of vision. Despite some issues like sun visor operation and imperfect comms integration, many customers appreciate its surprising quietness, excellent ventilation, and quality build for its price range. Fitment may run small, often requiring a size larger. Customers are impressed with the helmet's good value, noting features like sun visors and pinlock inserts. While some find comms and visor adjustments tricky, overall satisfaction is high.
I love the styling of this helmet, previously I owned a Nolan adventure helmet. This one is lighter, looks better and makes me more visible on the road (this has to be a good thing). The price of the helmet was incredible as it was the previous model which was replaced with the Commander 2. Fitting my Sena intercom to the helmet was not too difficult and gave me an opportunity to see how the interior of the helmet is made. Seriously impressive. I love the fact that this helmet came with an dedicated action camera mount as well.
I would whole heartedly recommend this helmet for anyone who wants a spectacular helmet at a great price.
Nice fit, but not enough room for Sena intercom speakers. Make the speakers too far out and dig into sides of your head.
As with all helmets, fit is a personal thing, but I found this helmet a very good fit for my head. It is supremely comfortable, light enough and very flexible. I like the option to remove the visor and the peak and it allows in plenty of airflow. The integrated sun visor is a feature that I will always look for in a helmet, absolute game changer, especially through spring and autumn when the sun sits low in the sky.
It’s light, great features and perfect for glasses
Loads more comfortable than my original dual sport lid on longer rides. Road noise reduced significantly. Sun visor is nice and dark and good visibility with main visor down. And that colourway leaves no excuses for careless car drivers not to see me coming!
Well chuffed with it
The helmet feels to be of great quality and a bargain at the reduced prices. I am a good fit in an XL in Arai Tour X4, which I love; I just want a need a sun visor to use to with photo chromatic glasses). The XL in the Airoh is just a touch small for me. As others have said, the sun visor mechanism is clunky and top vent seem small.
It feels good when on and isn’t as noisy as I thought it would be. I like the colour as it matches my Suzuki. The air vents in the front let plenty of air through.
I find it a bit awkward to get on but I think that is because I have had flip helmets for the last 20years. The double d fastening is a bit fiddly. Also the space for speakers is not very deep. I had to remove my JBL speakers and fit slimmer ones.
Overall a nice comfortable helmet.
For the money it's a great helmet, it looks good surprisingly quiet even at speed the drop down sun visor is useful.
The fitment is good but a little on the snug side so you may need a size up than usual.
The cut outs for the intercom are not deep enough and not really in the right place so put quite a bit of pressure on your ears which is uncomfortable, I've had to edit it a little bit to get a decent fit.
But other than that I'm happy with the helmet.
I purchased this helmet to try out a adventure helmet as I've always used standard type full face lids.
Having read the reviews which warned that the helmet sizes are on the small Size , I decided to buy my usual size , large 59-60 and it is tight enough to fold over my ear lobes . Like the previous reviewer I'm hoping the padding will give enough not to cause this .
The vision field is excellent and its quieter than I thought it would be , sun visor is a bit of a niggle as you push up for down and it's stiff to use at this stage.
Can't fault helmet price and quality, but in hindsight I would try the next size up from your usual size first and as it's from sports bike shop you can always exchange it for another size so long as you don't take the labels etc off unlike me. overall good helmet and decent price definitely worth a go.
This is my first Airoh helmet I am really impressed. The peak is easy to remove if desired with blanking plugs/trims to cover the mounting points. Wide field of vision with pinlock and integral sun visor included. I decided to go a size up to XL and the fit is spot on for me. One thing though as mentioned by another reviewer, if you want to use earpieces, they will be tight, just thought it was worth mentioning.
Perfect fit, great sun visor, excellent field of vision. Better than expected.
I usually want an Arai Quantic, XLite x903rs and this is a similar head shape.
It's much noisier and the shell is smaller and feels flimsier but it comes in to it's own when it rains, it never fogs and the visibility is brilliant.
Seems very comfy from the start, visor is smooth and not tight even though it's new. As others have said its a little noisy but i don't think it's any worse than my old nexx wed 2,over all very happy.
Comfortable, plush lining and full of features at a great price point. Delivery was quick as usual. The only disappointment is the d ring fastening, rather than quick release tab.
The large visor, comfortable lining, good ventilation and weight, help to make this the best helmet I have owned. (This is now my second one). Top of the list is that it is the quietest helmet I have owned.
Great helmet, very light.
I have been wearing my Bluetooth earbuds to listen to music and block wind noise, woth this helmet there isn't enough space around the ears to accommodate them. They get pushed into my ears, causing discomfort. (Samsung galaxy buds 1)
That's my only dislike, doesn't seem to have the space other helmets have for adding a comms speaker. Love it at the price it was but if I'd paid the full rrp I'd be disappointed with this issue I think.
Another fantastic product from Airoh I have been using them for the last 10 years, this helmet is so well fitting even for a big head like mine lol brilliant vision with the added bonus of the sun visor which has been a good send this year
Purchased in one of SP‘s sales and not regretted it. I am a medium in most helmet sizes and this comes up a nice snug fit which I guess will loosen with time. No issues with the peak resonating at speed on an off-road bike with no screen. Internal sunvisor very useful, but I agree with some of the other reviewers that the mechanism feels a bit clunky. You would always expect this style of helmet to be noisier than a normal full face however I have been pleasantly surprised that it is not excessive.
