If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
The staff at this shop go above and beyond to help customers and I will shop here again . The trousers are brilliant the price is even better!
Hip protectors get in the way a little bit, but best to have them.
I've not had a chance to wear these in the rain yet but I have an Oxford jacket with a D2D Z liner and it's kept me nice and dry. Anyway, these trousers are great, warm without the thermal liner and the vents are brilliant. An exhaust vent would be nice but one can't expect too much at this price point.
Have bought several Oxford textiles over the years but I'm afraid these dont live up to expectation. They have featues I like like pockets, removable liner, waterproof, armour, vents, and AA safety rating, so for the money they represent good value for money. But, the cut seems just wrong, loads of excess in crotch area means you have to "wedgie" to get rid of excess, had to buy some braces to keep them up. Bought my usual size ( in Oxford trousers) and gad to go up a size, and hip armor digs in and is noticeable when lifting kegs on the pegs and getting on the bike. Won't be long until I replace! Cab't fault SBS, usual excellent service tgat makes them the go to retailer!
