Nexx X.WED3 Carbon - Furka Grey / Neon

Had been toying about purchasing the LS2 Carbon Explorer but I wasn't convinced after trying on. Felt a bit nervous going to helmet outside my normal HJC / Arai ect. Bought this online and I'm mega impressed with the quality and all the nice little bits you get with it.

I've done 500miles since receiving it. It's quiet, light and feels very good. My head measured at 60mm and the large is a perfect fit so sizing is accurate.

This helmet ticks all the boxes. Super comfy does not feel baby on the head. The ventilation is the best ive ever had really nice.

Lovely looking helmet. Fits well and is reasonably quiet on the bike too. I opted to add the specific xcom pro intercom as this gets a 16% discount when bought together.
Overall very happy!!

Nice and snug fitting with no pressure spots. quite for what it is although the peak can drag your head up or down depending on the angle your at ... my Airoh strangely doesn't do this ... easy enough to fit a cardo to it although the mic placement is a tad awkward given how they have retained the chin bar vent filter. Ventilation is not particularly noticeable (unlike the neotec 3) but seems to cope with UK 30 degree heat almost ;) Visor fitting / removal is about the simplest I've come across apart from trying to see the locations when fitting the supplied dark visor :)
Down sides .... top vents do whistle but only when the peak is off !, it's a little susceptible to cross winds and the visor seal isn't perfect so some rain gets in along the top edge. Oakley goggles fit nicely in the eye port too.

Dare I say it - I prefer this to my Neotec 3 for motorway speed noise levels and my Airoh commander 2 for fit so would I recommend ?

A hearty Yes.

I purchased this due to the X.WRL being discontinued which was an amazing helmet. Sadly the X.WED3 is not a patch on the X.WRL. The X.WED 3 is noisy not just from the wind, but also from creaks in the plastic and rattles in the lining from the over complicated cheek-pad removal system.
The helmet looks great, but the vents are quite floppy and may possibly become loose over time.
A huge selling point for me was the action camera mounts. I always ride with a camera mounted on my helmets, so to have a purpose built mount from the manufacturer I hoped would be amazing. Unfortunately, the mount is held in place with a shallow screw, 4 tiny plastic lugs and a nut that doesn't tighten and spins in it's recess.
I really wish Nexx would relaunch the very awesome X.WRL with some updates to improve it, I would much rather a quiet ADV helmet like that than a noisy/rattly one with an internal sun visor that is not needed when the helmet has a peak and comes with a free tinted visor.
The magnetic strap also causes the double D rings to stick to it stopping you being able to thread the strap properly which is annoying, not the end of the world, but with the other issues, it makes me feel my loyalty to the brand was misjudged
As a sidenote, I have fitted the comms unit which is great for listening to nav and music... fortunately the speakers are loud enough to almost drown out the rattles and noise from the helmet.

I really like the high spec and quality of this helmet and for a skip helmet it is really quite quiet I’m super impressed

I love the look if this helmet. I love the spec, the carbon fibre, the air vents, the drop down visor, the pin lock the intercom. I struggle with the buffering from cross winds and wind noise but I guess it's not a motorway helmet?

I went to try it at the Reading store as seen some good reviews online, tried on and liked the fit. I was off on a tour around the Balkans with Motovibe, we had rain wind and temperatures in the mid to high twenty degrees. Was very comfortable and the venting was great as the temperature went up, didn’t leak in the thunderstorm and came with a clear and iridium visor, with the iridium visor and drop down visor, it got very dark in the tunnels, but raising the visor was enough. I did 2700 mile in the trip over 20 days and would recommend it, I even used the chin mount for my camera as it was so easy to fit and remove once I got back.

Comfortable from day one. Feels well made and it’s also very light. Looks really good in grey and red!
If you remove the liner, use a small screwdriver to push the switch back into place. You’ll save yourself much frustration!

Not having owned an adventure helmet before I don’t have any bench marks. So far I would say this is a very contactable, light, well engineered and good looking helmet. Everything has been thought about from the safety removable cheek pads to the large built in sun visor.
This is light and very comfortable and load of air flow. I wear earplugs that makes the helm nice and quiet ?.
The only two miner things I would say could be looked at are the little mic hole there put in would have been nice if there had put one on the other side. Also the sun visor catch can be a bit annoying to find with gloves on.

Usually wear AGV helmets, but decided to try an adventure helmet. After research, I decided on Nexx and I couldn't be more satisfied. Good fit, nice colour, premium quality and feel. Purchased the x com 3 pro which fits a treat. Satisfied customer.

I know Nexx helmets have had their critics in the past however, the new X.Wed3 Carbon is beautifully made and seriously comfortable. I've now spent around 20 hours in it and it's as comfortable as my Shoei but with much better ventilation and comes with a great accessory pack. It's stable at speed and there is some wind noise from the peak but playing with screen settings and the peak extender sorted that for longer runs. It looks great, feels great on and so far has exceeded expectations.
