First up SBS were superb in trying to resolve the minor issue with my Carvemaster 3 jacket. Sadly the C4 they replaced it with isn't quite as good. The inner lining doesn't appear to fix to the outer one & is noticeably shorter than the previous jacket. Full marks to SBS, however not to Dianese. Each generation is meant to be an improvement.

I owned the carve-master 3 which was a fantastic jacket and thought this was a natural progression to the newest version. I liked the restyle and the jacket looks good. The thermal liner no longer zips into the jacket, think it s designed to wear on its own, but I found this made it ride up. The jacket itself isn t particularly long so I found water would get in between my trousers and jacket which isn t ideal. My main issue is with the buttons on the side pockets, which, unlike the previous version, isn t covered by any material and whatever is on the buttons rubbed off into my tank.. sportsbikeshop and Dainese said this was my issue and not a manufacturing fault, but shopping around this is one of the only jackets I see designed like this!! Overall I was disappointed with the jacket considering my previous one was perfect and lasted well over two years without any issues.

Top Quality Dainese Jacket

Very impressed with the Dainese Carve Master 4 Gore-Tex jacket. The quality is excellent and it feels very well made, exactly what you would expect from Dainese. The Gore-Tex membrane keeps you completely dry in wet weather but is still breathable, and the removable thermal liner makes it great for colder rides as well.
The fit is comfortable with plenty of adjustment, and the protection feels solid with good armour in the shoulders and elbows. Ventilation works well when it gets warmer too.
Overall it’s a fantastic all-weather touring jacket and perfect for riding in typical UK conditions. Highly recommended.
