Icon D3O Diablo Level 1 Knee / Elbow Protector Inserts

I chose these because I only putter around backroads on my air-cooled single and wanted less intrusive protection. They are a significant upgrade on the foam type pads that ship with most jeans. If you look up the data sheet these Level 1 Diablo pads actually far exceeds the minimum L1 standard and are not far off the L2 standard (the Diablo L2 pads well exceed the L2 minimum of course) so I was happy to go with L1 for the thinness. Thankfully haven't put them to the test but you hardly know they are there when walking and far less bluky than L2 foam. Only lose a star because they have an odd greasy finish out of the bag.

You need to be careful to check they will fit in your jeans pad pocket, as they are longer than the foam type.
