Ignore the touring claims and this smart jacket from Rev'it has a lot going for it...
Good Jacket, liner is a bit finicky as it's a button up. No zipper for a pants attachment but that's not too bad. The mesh finish is a bit of a pain as bugs will get stuck in it. Looks stylish though. Definitely a 2 season Jacket.
Looked at these for at least a year and wondered how effective it would actually be. Wish I had purchased sooner, really well made, size true to measurements given and really does keep you cool.
This jacket flow lots of air and with the recent temp in 25 degree has been really comfortable and safe giving the free back protector by SBS but the only reason I have giving this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is due to fact that I can start to flap in the wind at higher than motorway speeds.
This seems like a quality product. It is very light, even with the optional back protector(medium jacket, size 4 back protector) and the colours match my Shoei NXR Rumpus lid perfectly.
Not tried on the bike because of lockdown but fingers crossed it's as good as it looks.
I've had Revit products before so I pretty much knew what I was getting. This jacket is quality all the way through, from the seams to the zips you can tell it's well put together. I don't think I've paid a massive amount of money compared to other jackets I've seen. There's only 1 (little) niggle I wish they'd have put a zip at the back instead of belt loops. That's the reason why it didn't get 5 stars!!
Looking for something for spring / summer riding. Love the removable liner which makes it more flexible. Good fit. I'm 40 inch chest and medium fitted perfectly. Great service from SBS. Tried 3 other jackets and returned with no fuss at all.
Bought for husband. Fits great, went with the correct chest size after measuring him and there is enough room in the tops of the arms when you need to stretch forward. The lower back design keeps you well covered if you haven't got fitted trousers. The elbow armour looks bulky and the shoulders don't so if you're out and about, you could get away with it off the bike. Plenty of pockets and the removable liner is a great addition. The adjustable waist straps have plenty of length so if you're broader on top, you can still get the correct chest size and bring the waist in to totally fit. Lightweight and overall very comfortable.
It's great to be able to buy a jacket that has been designed by someone who obviously wears one. Great fit and mesh works a treat in the heat but waterproof liner keeps you dry. Liner also has mesh to stop you cooking and sweating and stops that boil in a bag feeling like many Alpinestars jacket. Service was A1 as expected from sportsbikeshop.
This jacket is a very good all rounder, cool on summer days of sunshine and good weather resistance with the waterproof lining for when the sun doesn't shine.
Very nice jacket that looks and feels great. Clean lines with minimal well designed branding. Ventilation is very good yet still feels strong. The issue another reviewer mentioned about fly bodies getting stuck is true but to me it's a price I'm willing to pay and vacuum gets most
Perfect for a British summer commute of cool mornings and hot afternoons - use the liner in the morning and (just about) stuff it into a pocket for the ride home.
Quality seems decent and fit is snug but shaped well (size large, 5'11, 90kg). Arms possibly a tad short on me.
If you're struggling with overheating in traffic or slow roads in the sun, this jacket should sort you right out.
I'm really pleased with this jacket as it is perfect for UK summer conditions e.g. changeable between cool/warm/hot/wet. I can leave the easily removable liner in and be comfortable up to around 18/19 degrees, above that I can remove the liner which folds up quite small and it's been comfortable up to an indicated 27 degrees. The fit is good and snug with no billowing at higher speeds (the manufacturers size guide was accurate) and the build quality seems very good. I think I will probably mostly wear this jacket from April to October as opposed to my regular textile jacket.
The jacket itself is absolutely spot on, fitting and styling is perfect.
Unfortunately at high speed (motorway / country roads) etc, bugs get embedded into the fabric. Any attempt to try and brush them off only makes the situation worse. You remover half of the body leaves what's left somewhere in the fabric.
Only way I found to avoid this was to leave it till you got home and Hoover them out.
Hence the reason only giving a 4 star rating, this doesn't happen all the time, city commuting this is perfect.
Unfortunately I was unable to swap the jacket after explaining to customer services. So I'd recommend something with better fabric
In the peak of summer I took on this ventilated and mesh Rev’It Torque jacket, hoping it would prevent me from arrivin...
The detachable hydratex G-liner in the Rev'it Torque jacket keeps water away, while the ventilation panels at the chest, back and sleeves let air flow through. The Seesmart CE-level 1 protection at the shoulders and elbows provide safety.
