After trying other makes found these to be the best for quality and fit. As regards protection I hope I never find out.
And regarding service Sportsbikeshop first class as always.

These pants are superb. Really comfy to wear and not too hot. I wear them under a regular pair of jeans and you can't tell I've got them on by just looking at me. Only had them for a couple of weeks but the quality seems fantastic. They seem to fit a size too big tho, so order one size smaller than you usually would.

Having ordered and returned numerous pairs of bike jeans due to style and fit not to my liking these just let you wear your normal jeans... with Knox knee and underwear protection I feel safe and hardly notice I'm wearing the pants slim fitting and comfy not had to test them and hopefully never will
