Shad SH29 Top Case - 29 Litre

Ok let's be clear, unfortunately the plate I bought for the box was out of line but I got around that. Now it came to just putting the box on the bike, but wasn't having it. The key barrel was stiff so I oiled it with 3 in 1 and eventually got things moving but not totally smoothly.
So now I can drop the box onto the bike..or I thought I could but the mechanism that should do that is also catching and not latching on . So out comes the oil again, then the white grease until eventually I have a topbox that actually works albeit with a key that is still stiff but a smooth file along the rough edges should cure that.
The box itself looks great on the bike and if everything worked as it should have done it would have been 5 stars.
I am sure the combination of dodgy fitting plate and dodgy locking mechanism is very rare but I can only review from my experience.

Wanted a top box for my Harley 1200T, being a relatively small bike it had to look right with the panniers.This Shad sh29 fits the bill perfectly, I fitted it to a genuine Harley rack , the universal plate it came with was an easy fit with plenty of mounting options, the backrest really finishes it off. Perfect.

I knew it was a good quality and trusted name with a choice of sizes available. Instructions on how to fit the case were easy to follow and had it fitted in no time. It's a great box for storing my helmet and gloves when in the shops. It's watertight and looks and feels like a quality product. 3 keys supplied. A good lock on the box and also easy to lift the case off when you want to take it inside. It does not look too large a case for a 125. Very neat and I'm very happy with it. Can hold lots of stuff. This was a good buy for me.
