As from previous brought to go on R1250R the fittings supplied went on to original BMW rack and works fine BMW top box around £500 Shad £129 no brainer

This was purchased for a BMW R1250R. The fitting supplied fitted the original top box rack, so no extras required. Would highly recommend this product. The quality is excellent.

I bought this box after a weekend riding trip with a strap on tail pack and deciding that I needed something slightly more secure to store a helmet etc.

The box is well made and the mounting kit supplied worked well enough with my Gs1250a (2021 model). I did not purchase a fitting kit, so used only the supplied fixings, which gives a secure enough fit to the existing stock rack on the bike.

The manual advises to cap your load at 3KG, which is probably a conservative figure, but it doesn't fill me with a huge amount of confidence!

You can fit probably 2 small full face helmets at a push, but definitely one large helmet with room to spare for jacket/gloves etc.

All in all, it's a good box for the price point and saved me spending £400+ on a metal alternative.

If you don't change bikes often, but the dedicated fitting kit and take away a few worries!

I ordered this top box after my wife had bought me the shad top box rack for Christmas. I've fitted both to my CB500X and they are great, exactly what I needed for sticking the laptop and bait in for work.

When I was fitting the rack, I noticed that two of the bolts which secure the box to the top plate were missing from the fitting kit. I emailed Sportsbikeshop to advise if this and the reply was instant and two bolts were in the post and arrived within two days. Top class service.

Great storage, lots of room and very sturdy and safe.

I was a little concerned about the load capacity (weight) that this box will carry, but i toured for a week with it fully loaded and it was absolutely fine. It is well constructed and sturdy. The cargo top is also handy for strapping larger items such as a tent or fishing rods to. it is quick release and the fixings are very secure.
