Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...
Great gloves, warm in cold weather without compromising dexterity on the controls. Excellent service from Sportsbikeshop as usual. Thanks again SBS.
Great quality, comfortable and warm. I don't mis the hard plastic knuckle protection from my previous gloves which just made them stiff and a bit uncomfortable. These are great.
A quality, comfortable glove.
Used these for the first time on a night ride recently.
Prolonged sections of national speed limit.
Temperatures were around 8°C.
No issues.
Hands were warm. My hands are usually the first to get cold!
Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Usual Rukka quality.
They fit well under the sleeves of my Oxford Mondial 2.0 jacket sleeves too.
So far so good. These are the best winter gloves I've ever bought. For once the sizing isn't awkwardly big or too pinchy on the knuckles after a long ride. Haven't had a big downpour to test wet weather credentials yet which was the main reason for the new purchase so we'll see...
Super comfy from the off, with no wearing in needed. I wore them last week in an almighty downpour whilst dropping my bike off for a service, and they kept my hands both warm and dry without the need for heated grips.
I find it hard to find good quality gloves for ladies (I think manufacturers think we are all pillion passengers). With support from the staff I eventually managed to find a pair small enough in the mens range. I haven't tried yet in really cold weather, but so far they have been warm & comfortable. Excellent quality. I love them.
Great fit, let's see when winter arrives but other reviews suggest I have no worries.
Really love the feel and softness of these gloves. So far they have kept my hands warm with out using the heated grips.
This is my second pair of Rukka Mars gloves, my last pair lasted 12 years and the only reason I changed them is the thermal lining finally gave up, so these had a lot to live up to.
Well I'm not disappointed. They are as comfortable as my old ones and just as warm, only been caught in a shower in them so can't vouch for their full on waterproof capabilities but they did their job.
My only criticism is that the cuff is a bit shorter so gives them a more sporty feel but still long enough to overlap my jacket sleeve by a few inches and keep the wind out.
Overall I'm still impressed with them and would recommend them if you want a comfortable pair of warm gloves that will last.
Always wanted a pair of these, dived in and I do not regret it. Leather is supple and feels like it'll do the job fingers were still warm in a 1-2 degree Celsius ride - no covers so add wind chill.
I have given 5 stars - but have not fully tested for longevity or waterproofing.
Great fit, excellent gloves, hands stayed comfortable in typical Scottish summer weather lol. It was cold.
Great service from the guys at Sportsbikeshop as always.
…great service!! Gloves not as warm as I thought but still great gloves and great service
These stay reasonably warm down to about -2c for shorter (up to 20min) rides without heated grips. Perfectly warm in normal (not freezing) weather. Comparable with Richa Arctics for warmth; maybe even better.
They're super comfortable with excellent feel of controls and feel very well made. The index fingertips are half leather half textile, thumbs all leather. Only the leather parts work on a smartphone screen (with 'glove mode' activated). Done a couple of trips in heavy rain where water just runs off and doesn't soak them.
Only gripes are the short gauntlets, which on winter gloves I'd prefer to be longer, and the very light armour (just knuckle padding) for the money should be better.
On the sizing front, I usually wear a medium (Richa/Alpinestars), but these fit much bigger.
Fantastic quality and fit. Warm and comfortable a very good choice for cold weather riding.
Bought these to replace my other gloves that have had years up to now excellent I have large hands so find it hard to get gloves to fit but these do the job and are comfortable.
Warm as well which is what you need when riding in winter
Definitely worth the price
Haven't used them yet because it's mid winter but they look great
Love the design where they tuck inside your jacket arms to stop the water rubbing down your arms into them
Service from SBS was excellent as usual
Just be careful with the sizes as I found each size to be bigger than expected
I went for a medium and the wife had XS
Having used these down the West coast of Scotland they got an absolute drenching and came out dry. They also seem to dry out quicker than previous gloves. if your hand get sweaty. I can see there may be a problem with the interior prolapsing if you are not careful but so far, so good. I struggle with finding the right sizing and for a winter glove, I went a size down to get the best combination of thermal insulation and snug fit. They'll take a while to fit perfectly but they are soft and comfortable. Full winter? I don't think I've found such a glove yet!
Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable, the Rukka Mars 2.0 gloves feature a durable leather construction, Gore-Tex lining, fleece lining with extra warmth for colder riding conditions, and a visor wiper in the left index finger.
