Rukka Clothing

Range topping jackets, trousers & apparel from Rukka

Rukka motorcycle clothing is renowned throughout the world for being the most technically advanced range on the market, designed to meet the strictest standards for both safety, and rider comfort. Founded in 1950, Rukka have been producing bike clothing since the late 80's with the entire Rukka motorbike range designed in house, as it has been since day one, at their base in Finland. The entire range is today manufactured according to their own Defence and Comfort performance standards, meeting even the strictest criteria set for weatherproofing and riding comfort. Most Rukka motorcycle jackets and trousers carry the patented Rukka Air protectors, the only patented breathable shoulder, elbow, knee, shin and hip protectors on the market, functioning equally in all weather conditions. This elastic mesh divides the possible impact into a wide area and acts as a shock absorber. When it comes to reflective materials, Rukka clothing is once again at the forefront of technology. Under normal daylight conditions, Rukka's reflective material appears normal but if directly lit by vehicle headlights in the dark, it reflects the light glaring white. The list of technical elements is almost endless with the use of top brand materials such as Gore-Tex, Armacor, Cordura, SuperFabric and D30 to name only a few. Regardless of climate, hot or cold, rainy or sunny - Rukka clothing is designed to perform, ensuring both rider comfort and safety. Furthermore, all Rukka outerwear is covered by a 5 year warranty (2 years on gloves).

Rukka D3O XTR Back Protector Rukka D3O XTR Back Protector
It’s good that it covers the back well but it’s so long the back of my helmet hits the top of the armour each time I look upwards, I purchasing the recommended size for my jacket but wish I’d ordered a size down unfortunately I’ve thrown all the packaging away or I’d have requested a swap.

Rukka Nivala 2.0 Gore-Tex Textile Trousers - Black Rukka Nivala 2.0 Gore-Tex Textile Trousers - Black
I have had Rukka clothing previously and these were to replace my now tired pair. They are expensive but as usual for Rukka of very good quality and comfortable, not yet tested in the wet but I have no doubt they will perform well.

Rukka Braces - Black / Grey Rukka Braces - Black / Grey
It’s a shame that Rukka don’t include braces as standard with their Kalex 3 trousers, but for me, they are a game changer. Rather over priced, but rather than clips, they have Velcro ends that attach to Velcro pockets in the trousers. This makes them very secure, no popping off. They have transformed these trousers, stopping them from slipping down and reducing the bunching of material at the knees. 4 out of 5, the dropped point simply due to the cost. Recommended.

Never been disappointed with SBS. Incredibly fast delivery and the best prices online. Love my new jacket for both wearing under my jacket as a midlayer and also as a casual jacket when on tour.

Rukka Winsto-R Shirt Rukka Winsto-R Shirt
Really well made and it definitely stops the wind. Is it worth nearly £110? Probably not if I am honest, but it should work well under something like their Air Karvik which is what I plan to use it with.
