Founded in 1950, Rukka have been producing bike clothing since the late 80's with the entire Rukka motorbike range designed in house, as it has been since day one, at their base in Finland. The entire range is today manufactured according to their own Defence and Comfort performance standards, meeting even the strictest criteria set for weatherproofing and riding comfort. Most Rukka motorcycle jackets and trousers carry the patented Rukka Air protectors, the only patented breathable shoulder, elbow, knee, shin and hip protectors on the market, functioning equally in all weather conditions. This elastic mesh divides the possible impact into a wide area and acts as a shock absorber. When it comes to reflective materials, Rukka clothing is once again at the forefront of technology. Under normal daylight conditions, Rukka's reflective material appears normal but if directly lit by vehicle headlights in the dark, it reflects the light glaring white. The list of technical elements is almost endless with the use of top brand materials such as Gore-Tex, Armacor, Cordura, SuperFabric and D30 to name only a few. Regardless of climate, hot or cold, rainy or sunny - Rukka clothing is designed to perform, ensuring both rider comfort and safety. Furthermore, all Rukka outerwear is covered by a 5 year warranty (2 years on gloves).

Rukka are a sort of the Rolls-Royce of clothing, and these gloves certainly uphold this analogy. Perhaps a tad on the small side for the indicated size, though a BIG plus point for me is that the fingers are shorter rather than longer, so fit me perfectly. A negative point is that the wrist opening is quite a bit smaller than expected, so it's a tight wriggle to get my hand in, the upside being a perfect fit once on. Nice and comfortable. A little stiff, so the gloves will need breaking in. Would I recommend? Oh yes.

I chose a Rukka product after a good experience with their gloves and I'm glad I did. The jacket fits nicely and is true to size and has plenty of useful pockets. It's very light and comfortable and, although it's fairly bulky, it compresses under my leather jacket leaving me free to move without restriction. Then when I get to my destination I can wear it as a smart outer. I did a 120mile ride yesterday in 5C and felt warm and snug. I would otherwise have worn my heated jacket but didn't miss it at all, in fact I was more comfortable in the Rukka. Worth paying the extra for. Great delivery from sportsbikeshop as usual.

Bought these to replace my old gloves.
They were on sale at a great price and a quality brand, great fit and a good feel. Still to try try them in the rain but have total faith in them as I have a Rukka suit and it’s never let me down.

Rukka Lahti Jacket - Black Rukka Lahti Jacket - Black
Purchased this as I was looking for a liner to go under a Rukka Kalix jacket and to be honest it’s a nice addition, haven’t had chance to use it while on the motorcycle but have used it on the mtb in the recent cold weather under a lighter coat and it made a difference, went up a size from a large to xl as the fitting was a little snug .
