Rukka motorcycle clothing is renowned throughout the world for being the most technically advanced range on the market, designed to meet the strictest standards for both safety, and rider comfort. Founded in 1950, Rukka have been producing bike clothing since the late 80's with the entire Rukka motorbike range designed in house, as it has been since day one, at their base in Finland. The entire range is today manufactured according to their own Defence and Comfort performance standards, meeting even the strictest criteria set for weatherproofing and riding comfort. Most Rukka motorcycle jackets and trousers carry the patented Rukka Air protectors, the only patented breathable shoulder, elbow, knee, shin and hip protectors on the market, functioning equally in all weather conditions. This elastic mesh divides the possible impact into a wide area and acts as a shock absorber. When it comes to reflective materials, Rukka clothing is once again at the forefront of technology. Under normal daylight conditions, Rukka's reflective material appears normal but if directly lit by vehicle headlights in the dark, it reflects the light glaring white. The list of technical elements is almost endless with the use of top brand materials such as Gore-Tex, Armacor, Cordura, SuperFabric and D30 to name only a few. Regardless of climate, hot or cold, rainy or sunny - Rukka clothing is designed to perform, ensuring both rider comfort and safety. Furthermore, all Rukka outerwear is covered by a 5 year warranty (2 years on gloves).

30" waist 32" leg so bought Small Regular length and fit is perfect with room for down filled inner trousers in cold weather. Ventilation is excellent via 2 zipped flaps to front & 2 to rear. Leather inside legs to grip tank is nice touch, as is leather on backside which is also padded and reduces sliding on seat. Oversized armour is comfortable & reassuring as are abrasion resistant patches to knees & hips. Braces are good but can be removed if desired. Another nice touch is velcro pads to keep bottom of legs open until you get your feet through. Trousers stiff initially but softening up nicely. Top of the range trousers at a top of the range price but what price safety & comfort. Hopefully will prove totally impermeable as claimed, but can't verify as yet.

Top of the range protection everywhere including front chest protector. All armour is greatly oversized, especially back protector, compared to all other jackets I've owned which is reassuring. Neoprene neck is high but soft and doesn't interfere with helmet. Cuff sleeves within jacket are a great idea and fit well under long gloves to keep out the cold. Zipped outer cuffs fit well over your gloves to keep out rain. Ventilation zips are everywhere and work extremely well in hot weather. Initially jacket feels stiff but soon wears in and is extremely comfortable and well sized. I am normally a medium and medium fits well. Abrasion resistant areas are nice touch and you feel secure.
Yes it's expensive but you get what you pay for and can't put a price on safety and comfort. Can't vouch for waterproofing as yet but have no doubts it will be totally impermeable as claimed. Nice to know that if you get caught in a downpour you'll be ok.

Great pair of summer gloves. Identical fit to other Rukka gloves. Easy to get them on and off however hot my hands are. The only thing missing is a built-in visor wipe. Good job it never rains any more.

Rukka D3O XTR Air Hip Protector Rukka D3O XTR Air Hip Protector
bought to fit into a pair of oxford original straight fit riding jeans, which they do perfectly, a much bigger area of hip protection than i have had fitted in other jeans before, i find the d30 armour really comfortable and is more breathable than the armour that came with the oxford jeans
