Reviews Oxford's new jacket lives up to its promise of being a step up in quality

Customers are impressed with this jacket's quality and functionality. Many highlight its waterproof and thermal features, praising the removable liner system for adaptability across seasons. Fit and comfort receive high marks, though some mention minor issues with zippers and collar straps. Customers appreciate its affordability and value compared to more expensive brands. Generally, the jacket performs well in wind and rain, providing warmth and dryness in harsh conditions. Overall, the jacket comes highly recommended for motorcycling enthusiasts.
Well made, warm and perfect for winter riding in the Scottish Highlands.
This is the best jacket I now own. It's warm comfortable, keeps me dry and not bulky. Can't believe I have not bought Oxford before. Sportsbikeshop have a great selection and are fantastic online. May have to visit the Southampton store
Bought this in the sales to replace an older Oxford jacket. So far I’m very impressed, it’s really warm, wind proof as far ass I can tell. Great ventilation and a removable inner liner is a big bonus. I can move easily enough wearing it and it’s a true fit size.
I like the ability to remove layers and be abit more flexable.
Kinda wish the warming layer was a bit thicker
I love this jacket. It keeps you so warm. And at the discounted price it really is a steal compared to the competition.
At the original price, this would have been a really good buy - at the sale price, it's unbeatable. Well designed, removable liners really comfortable, warm and waterproof. The armour is adequate but can easily be uprated. There is no back protector, but there is a pocket for one, so not a problem to add. Service at SBS was it's usual top notch self.
Very comfortable jacket that exceeds my expectations
Wearing this jacket in extreme weather conditions and it’s invaluable
A must have for a comfortable ride in the English weather come rain or shine
Good in the dry, vents well. I like that the cuff zips can be opened to vent through the arms.
Rain will go straight through the outer. I don't like drop liners as once the outer is wetted out you get cold.
For the money it's reasonable versatile but not an all weather jacket.
Great jacket at a great price. With removable linings. vents and pockets are plentiful. Quick delivery as ever from SPORTSBIKESHOP.
This jacket is quite comfortable and so far (a few weeks of autumn commuting) has been warm and weatherproof. I'm still not totally convinced by the detachable waterproof liner though, I doubt I'll ever take it out and it does add some bulk and finickyness. The two chest pockets aren't 100% waterproof, so consider what you put in there. The only real downside is this jacket is only A rated, and I would happily sacrifice the removability of the waterproof liner to get more abrasion protection. I did add an additional back protector too.
I haven’t used this jacket too much and am too old to ride in the wet and snow anymore. Had a few ride outs in 5-20 degree (without wind chill) took the two liners out and had a hoodie on underneath and was absolutely warm enough. There’s loads of vents for cooling for when it starts to get warm. It fits, but I went two sizes up because I like a baggier jacket. I think if I had gone with my normal size it would’ve been too small. Lots of pockets. Good quality jacket and fits my needs
Warm, dry and comfortable. Well placed ventilation points and good use of red tabs to highlight opening locations.
I've been using this jacket offroad for 3 years and it's still holding up well. Plenty of vents and pockets. I use it in the winter and spring/autumn. It's too warm for summer. It's lightly water resistant so I carry a light rain coat in my bag.
This is a really good winter jacket with removable waterproof lining and thermal layer also making it a good option throughout the year.
The only reason I’ve not rated this as 5 star is because it is a little fiddly when zipping up the waterproof layer and the jacket does get very heavy in the rain.
Sportsbikeshop are the best, I ordered 3 jackets online and then reserved 10 at the Southampton shop. Online returns are a breeze and the staff in the shop were great. Only thing to note is that if you pay online using PayPal you can't return the item to the shop.
I was looking for a jacket to replace my RST Paragon that has served me well for over 10 years, but couldn't afford the direct replacement. I set a limit of £175. I tried on 14 jackets in total and quickly reduced it to a short list of 3. The Oxford continental was the best compromise for my extensive requirements list. My niggles are as follows, the liners attach with a single loop in the sleeves and the thermal liner attaches to the waterproof liner which then attaches to the jacket, so when you take the jacket off you need to catch hold of the innermost liner with your other hand to prevent it from dragging up the sleeve. A Large size fitted my torso but was too tight in the sleeves and around my neck, so I've gone for the XL and tightened the waist adjusters to the max. I find that the waterproof liner doesn't sit comfortably at the neckline, so I don't do up the top popper. Given that the other jackets in the price range were definite 'no's', the above are trivial and I consider it to be a good purchase. It's warm and waterproof and that is what I need most.
This is a 3 in one jacket. Plenty of air vents massive pockets warm quilted liner. And another liner to keep you dry. Very comfortable to wear perfect fit. Definitely the best choice. Don't be put off by the budget friendly price this is a very well made quality jacket. Oxford has put a lot of thought in making this jacket. Come pay day I'm going fund the matching trousers.
This is great value for money. Three interchangeable layers so I can see this being used all year round. The fit is good and the quality is just what you would expect from Oxford. You cant go wrong.
This jacket from Oxford is in their new-for-2019 Advanced range, which is full of new technologies and is part of the...
