Oxford's new jacket lives up to its promise of being a step up in quality
Customers are impressed with this jacket's quality and functionality. Many highlight its waterproof and thermal features, praising the removable liner system for adaptability across seasons. Fit and comfort receive high marks, though some mention minor issues with zippers and collar straps. Customers appreciate its affordability and value compared to more expensive brands. Generally, the jacket performs well in wind and rain, providing warmth and dryness in harsh conditions. Overall, the jacket comes highly recommended for motorcycling enthusiasts.
Excellent . Appears well made .
Smart and subtle looking. Fits well.
Wet cold hot suitable for riding in any of these conditions
Personally, I am very pleased.
This Jacket is one jacket for all seasons and weather conditions with the removable inside layers and armor protection.
Well done Oxford for making the only jacket you will ever need for your motorcyling adventures.
Brilliant jacket and trousers. Good fit, good wind / rain protection. Only gripe is the vent zips get caught on the arms when trying to unzip everytime.
This jacket is accurate to the description. Great quality and comfortable to wear.
Only used jacket once at the moment but in the time I had it on was great, no wind went through it, fit was good, verve comfortable would recommend
Perfect all round jacket.
3 in 1 - Waterproof liner, body warmer & main jacket.
Taken all out & used as is perfectly warm enough.
Test of time will tell the quality but comfort, quality and style all great. Everything Oxford brand is good.
Great value for money and very robust
It is my first brand new piece of gear (previously always had 2nd hand), and I need to say it's better than I expected. Very comfy, had few occasions to ride in heavy rain (completely dry), haven't used thermal layer yet as it is summer but by looks of it it will do well. A lot of pockets and vents
This jacket is a quality versatile jacket for all weathers, decent YKK zips, great fit and style and competitively priced - my goto jacket.
It does what I wanted as most jackets you can not remove all the inner linings
so I'm very happy
One tiny little niggle, the zips can be a bit sticky on the pockets when the fabric bunches but it really is a niggle this is a good coat!
Great fit. Good to have the waterproof lining.
Product is amazing very comfortable, delivery was literally 24hrs after the order was confirmed. Definitely recommend
Bought these to replace alpinestars suit from 10 yrs ago, comfortable and warm, easy enough to remove inners only time will tell how they hold up.
I bought this as a more practical jacket to commute in for all weathers. It comes with optional cold weather or wet weather inners or both can be used at the same time. It fits as you'd expect, has lots of usable and easy to access pockets and is overall a great jacket for what I wanted. Bought while at a discounted price......what's not to like?!?
It was time to replace my aging Oxford Mondial 2 jacket after 8 years use. I tried other manufacturers but I was underwhelmed and finding fault in the fit and useability of what I tried on.
I had tried out SBS's try and buy at their Preston store, the service and attention of all the staff was excellent.
While I was trying on what I had ordered I noticed the Oxford Continental Advanced Textile (OCAT) on special offer. I tried on my usual sizing and every thing fit.
Quality in layers, that's the title and that's what the OCAT has. The outer shell has many zips with a smattering of pockets. Lots of air flow flaps, the rear map/gloves pocket is always a winner, and the front pockets are storm protected with side entry zipped hand warmers, brilliant. The waterproof liner zips to the outer jacket, and the warm liner zips into that. These layers alternate to give you options for 4 season riding, excellent. The elbow and shoulder pads are base standard but I just swapped them out with the D30 bits I have from the old Mondial.
So far I haven't tried the OCAT in rain, a blessing, but in early April it's been really warm with base layers and an old wooly jumper, essential.
In conclusion the OCAT at the offer price is an absolute bargain, at the original price I would say the standard of armour let's it down. However, factor in up-spec'ing the armour and you will have a brilliant jacket for touring and off road trips.
This jacket is comfortable once you get used to the weight, it remained dry through a 1 hour rain shower. The cooling vents worked well. The zips can be a bit fiddley due to the proximity of the folds of various fabrics. Pockets are very good and neckline comfortable.
This jacket from Oxford is in their new-for-2019 Advanced range, which is full of new technologies and is part of the...
