Great value retro jkt but with quality concern.

Arrived as described with more pockets than you can shake a stick at. The perfect jkt if you're riding to a social event and don't want to look like a power ranger.
Had to return first one as top popper broke after 2nd use. I've never bought Merlin products before but general reviews seemed good so am assuming that was a one off.

Classic style with nice functionality

Bought this as I wanted a jacket that was less "biker" for mixed use.
Primarily for winter use so I bought one size up to make sure I had decent room for a light down jacket underneath. Turns out it was a good choice. Nice length, comfortable cut and D3O armour reduces bulk nicely.

Required a retro look jacket for riding my 1960's Lambretta.
Love the look and quality feel of this jacket. Plenty internal and external pockets. Armoured in all the right places, back, shoulders and elbows. This armour is removable and I often wear the jacket casually.
I'm 6'2" ish slim with arms like a baboon and the cut of the jacket suits me perfectly. I wear XL.
Only had one issue during the years warranty period. The hem drawstring detached. I returned the jacket to Sportsbikeshop, who were fantastic in their response. My jacket was replaced due to this fault.
If you are looking for a retro look functional bike jacket then this should be on your shortlist.

Ive used this as an inter season jacket, have been impressed with the waterproof / windproof resistance. D30 padding is nice and its not too heavy or bulky. cant go wring with Merlin

Very good quality, warmer than I expected. Useful inside pockets, dissapointed back armour not supplied. Leather trim a good feature. Essential to try on with clothing you will be wearing with the jacket, e.g. jeans with hip armour made the jacket tight on the bike. Sportsbikeshop changed no probs.

Top quality from Merlin, never disappointed. The reason I didn't give a 5 stars is because the thermal linen is not removable (hard to understand why actually) and I found the jacket a bit on the heavy side...I returned it eventually.

Not bad quality for price but arms are too short, even for my stumpy short arms! It leaves a gap between my gloves and the sleeve end. Not good for a cold/wet-weather jacket
