If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Motorcycle trousers receive mixed reviews from customers, highlighting both strengths and areas needing improvement. Overall, they are praised for their fit, waterproofing, warmth, and build quality. Key negatives include non-adjustable knee protectors, fiddly and fragile braces, and some sizing inconsistencies. Despite these issues, the trousers are generally considered a good value for money, providing comfort and protection, with recommendations often suggesting trying them on for the best fit. Customers highly appreciate the product’s overall performance and quality.
Perfect fit and light for summer use with the lining removed
Trousers fit fine, felt great quality and looked good on. Flexible enough to walk in etc.
Problem was with the position of the knee protection, it was just not sat in the right place when on the bike (r1250gs)
Great service from sbs as always tho. No issues with returning them.
Toasty warm and very comfortable, unsure if they are fully waterproof yet, if they are then they were a brilliant purchase
Good value for money
Better than expected for the cost warm and comfy and are waterproof after 1 hour plus in torrential rain kept dry and trousers dry very quick after hopefully the waterproofing lasts well
I had a pair and the zip went SBS exchanged without fuss, The trousers are very comfortable warm and keep yo back warm and dry
Excell Product Highly recomended
Really nice fitting, warm, cool when needed to be, 100% waterproof (tested on the west coast of Scotland in a thunderstorm)
These are waterproof, and very comfortable to wear, even on hot days due to vents in legs, lots of movement in the legs and do not feel restive at all, good adjustable seal round the boots, overall highly recommend for the price, two pockets at the top are also good and deep, my go to trousers now
I like that these are laminated. I really like the very high waist , almost a salopette. I found them very comfortable - support for the fat belly with no chance of a cold back.
I have only worn them once so far (about two hundred miles) , a warm day with chance of rain. ( like every other day this year so far).
I took all the linings out and just had normal base layer. I forgot to try the vents.
It did not rain so cannot comment on waterproofing.
The bottom of the legs have zip and Velcro fastened and fit snugly over tall Adventure style boots. So far very happy.
Not used them yet apart from sitting in the house with them on to see if the fit, they did and they were blooming warm too.
Excellent fit - order the size from the chart.
These are really waterproof. Got caught in heavy rain (not quite torrential) for a solid 45 mins and the water was just clumping together in big drops then rolling off!
But best of all - no wet crotch!! Not even a little bit.
Solid build quality throughout, not a single frayed thread, and surprisingly supple material. Best bike strides I've ever owned. Bar none. Outstanding!
And of course Sportsbikeshop start to finish service is top drawer!
As warm as toasted bread. Full day round the northern Pennines on a Sunny February day. Well made great fit (true to size), the extra height makes a great difference with no little drafts leaking in. These are the best pair of bike pants I have.
Ordered a size medium/regular and they were humongous on..quite baggy and massively long..rang SBS to sort an exchange, and got exchange code text whilst on phone,so normal excellent service there..went to Preston store try on some smaller sizes, and turned out a small in short was perfect for me- 5ft 10 so not short but am slim..nice trouser overall, sits high and have get used to braces..so just beware it might be best trying on before you buy..overall top notch service from sportsbikeshop..thank you.
So far so good. Been in a couple of downpours and stayed dry. I can only find x2 faults #1 there is no adjustment for the knee protectors so if you're a shorty like me the knee protectors sit below the knee cap so as your riding you have to keep adjusting them, #2 The bottom of the trousers have been designed really loose as I don't even have to undo the zip to lift them on or off the boot, there is however a bottom velcro fastner to tighten them around the boot, but it does bunch up a bit. Apart from that they are comfortable to wear.
Awesome fit , very warm and keeps you dry
Great warm waterproof trousers, good fit. Braces are the only negative they do not naturally lay flat, the rear attachment should be redesigned for ease of use..bought as a combo with jacket .. highly recommend Sportsbikeshop shop for service
Overall quite a decent fit although there are a couple of niggles. Biggest niggle is when sat on the bike the knee pads are a bit low and I have to rely on a tight fit on my boots to keep them in the right place. Adjustable velcro strap just below the knee would be very useful.
2nd niggle is the braces connected to the rear section are not conventionally fixed (Stitched vertically) so make them very fiddly to postion correctly otherwise work fine.
3rd niggle is they don't include any hip protectors.
Overall for me they work quite well, have been comfortable, warm and waterproof. Got caught on a 65 mile trip which included 3 torrential downpours and when I arrived home was completely dry. Quite pleased with my purchase though if buying again would probably look to spend a bit more to avoid any niggles.
Picked these up for my commute to work. Very impressed by the comfort and the size.
They have a detachable thermal liner which is great for all seasons, coldest I've tried them so far is 5 degrees and they kept me toasty.
They are advertised as 100% waterproof, after a couple of rides in biblical level rain I can confirm they are, and they dry really quick as well.
I'm that impressed that my next purchase will be the jacket to replace my old SPIDI one.
If you're looking for warm, waterproof laminated riding gear on a budget then these should be in your basket.
Great trousers for the money and a good fit for me anyhow. They did leak in the seat area in a very heavy and prolonged downpour, but I got a replacement without any issue. Thank you.
