I wanted to use some Sumu soft luggage withe the Honda CRF and thought when I put the bags over there was a chance the heat shield supplied might not be sufficient. I purchased this item and just one sitting below the original heat shield has given me confidence that no luggage will touch the exhaust at all. Great produce and worth the price for piece of mind.

Did the job nicely

I was off a weekend to the lakes and I haven't got a rack for my F850 yet but I had some soft panniers. I ordered this last minute and quickly got it fitted as the exhaust is high mounted and would have burned the soft luggage. Worked a treat and easily held firm the whole trip, it was taller than expected and very robust but maybe could have been a bit longer. The one clip held it firm and I had no concern it would come loose. If folk are really worried another clip is not much money and easy to find online, there are holes for two more if needed. I was also worried it might scratch the exhaust, but it seems to have come aware relatively unscathed when I removed it.

Avoid burning your kit

Perfect fit on the nuclear reactor that is my KTM 690 exhaust. Plenty big enough on the clip with loads to spare and my silencer is big as it houses the cat. I bought this after melting the bottom of my Klim trousers and it is an excellent idea, you don't need more than one fastening clip. All in all I'm very pleased

Pricey for what it is and would be good if they included another jubilee clip fo extra security.
Slightly longer than expected which is a good thing.
Not tried with luggage yet but looks like it will do the job.

This little piece of kit is ideal if you want to protect your soft luggage panniers , yes it gets a little warm but it keeps the main heat away from your exhaust. Great service from Sbs as always.

Good item, I would of liked another jubilee clip either with it or available to buy as with just the one fastener if that should fail you'd be stuck with melting panniers. Great service from supplier ????

The Inferno Heat Shield keeps your panniers and side panels away from the infernal heat of your Silencer. One or more properly installed Inferno Heat Shields can reliably avoid any meltdown. Exhaust systems can get as hot as 650°C - neither your soft luggage nor its contents are able to endure such temperatures. However, only a small distance between the silencer and the luggage is enough to let the heat dissipate. Additionally, the forced convection of the airflow will further improve the cooling capacity.
