Give your fingers a treat with the right pair of winter gloves...
A robust glove that takes some wearing in but once worn a few times its great to wear, it is a heavier glove, which I like, but not too thick. Merlin gear is great and I have a few pieces, these will add to my love of Merlin. Look great too, what's not to like, only not 5 stars as haven't had them that long but am sure they won't disappoint.
Like all new gloves I find it a love hate relationship until I have broken them in. My last pair of Merlin Outlast gloves I loved, I still can't part with them, fit me lovely. But after 7-years of hard service, despite attempts to waterproof the leather it's time to put them away. These new gloves have a lovely Matt finish to them, and once broken in I am sure I will love them. They are warm and look really nice. My only concern is I had to go for a large size (same as last pair) but the fingers are a little too long, no different from last pair though. I can highly recommend the Merlin brand, I have the olive wax proof jacket and trousers, about 8 years old now, and waxed annually.
These seem to be built well and they look great. They are not the warmest glove but I was out for a couple hours at 10 degrees which was fine. You should definitely go up a size or even 2. I usually take an XL but got an XXL, they fit but are fairly snug, maybe should even of had the XXXL. But as they are full leather I'm figuring they will give a little
These gloves are well made and the size is spot on. They are warm enough although not ridden in temperatures below 9 degrees. Handy feature being able to use smartphone while wearing them.
