Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Customers have mixed opinions about the jeans, with some praising their comfort, quality, and value. The stretch fabric offers a snug fit and accommodates boots well. However, the fit can be challenging with inconsistencies in waist sizing, requiring some customers to size down or up. Knee and hip armor are noted, but knee protection placement issues are mentioned. While generally recommended for their daily utility and safety ratings, some wish for improved fit adjustments.
I've heard a lot about Bull-it and it's all true. Comfortable, great armour with adjustable pockets - love them
Bought these as they were AAA rated and also discounted. Had to go for a size smaller than I usually take, as the do come up a bit on the large side. But they are very stretchy give me protection on the bike and look good off of the bike. Seem to be well put together, but I hope I never have to try the protective qualities of these jeans.
I bought these as they were on offer at a great price. I’d read reviews that suggested the size down slightly (which I think is good advice). I usually wear a 38” (I know, I know ?) and in these jeans, the 36 is ok for me.
The jeans are comfy, the stretch means they fit over my boots (adding to the more casual look in my opinion) and the knee and hip pads are reassuringly substantial - making me feel safe on the bike.
All round, very happy
Put my own d30 armour in which is far less bulky and more comfy fit to size and good value. fits over my boots (just!)
Really comfortable however the pockets for the knee protection armour are about 4 inches too low.
Currently riding without but will get a seamstress to try and alter. Frustrating as they are great to wear
These don't have the water resistance that the previous Covert had so there's a lot more air flow. Very nice for summer. The fit is nice although as usual for Bull-it jeans you are best ordering 1 size down. The waist is quite stretchy so even if you have a big dinner they won't get too tight.
The only issue with these jeans is that the knee armour sits too low down the leg. The armour pocket is also quite wide, which allows the armour to move around more than I'd like. Don't get me wrong, they aren't floating around and ending up all over the place, but they aren't as securely positioned as I'd like. Having said that, the new armour pockets are better designed than the previous iteration and the armour slots in from below which means you won't ever get accident velcro rash on your knees.
I got these in a sale and I'm very pleased with them. Absolute bargain for the price.
Commute to work in these, they are comfortable and overall really nice. Again, they are riding jeans, so no waterproofing, and then they do have poor knee armour and hip armour, but for the price, what do you expect?
Needed to replace a larger and similar pair also from Bull-it - hugely impressed. Look just like standard jeans and fit true to size.
Very easy to get the armour in and out to wash as well, half tempted to bag a second pair so I'm never without!
Great fit, stylish, good protection, excellent for price.
I thought they looked very slim in the leg for a 60 year old, (trying to look younger) but after using them I’m more than happy with the fit good quality cracking price.
All in the title- I've had other brands but these are by far the most comfortable with pockets. Ig enough to comfortably hold a phone and be easy to access, even with gloves on
These jeans are so comfortable to wear. The quality is outstanding. Really tough material and a lot of though has gone into making them. The small things impress me, like the criss cross bet loop at the back, Stops your belt from riding above your jeans when in your bike. They also have enough room in the leg to get over the top of my full RST boots.
A***
I will definitely be buying another pair.
Wish I'd ordered a size down or tried them in-store, now they've been worn a couple of times they have become loose. I ordered a short leg and the top of the knee protector is below my knee cap with no adjustment so basically useless. In hindsight I should have returned them. So try in-store or order a size smaller. Quality wise the jeans fabric seems good.
Enough space for the amour without being to tight, tough looking denim at a good price, this is my second pair of bullit jeans. Fast delivery as always
Excellent product good fit but had to come down a size 34 instead of 36 but length long was spit on
Look and feel nice - overall great pair of jeans. Maybe fit a little big so size down
Good quality. Fits as per description, perhaps slightly long but that’s great when sat on a bike.
Knee pads can be set at different heights and are class 2. Aaa protection for less than £100 can’t go wrong

The shower resistant coating applied to Bull-it products is a chemical product that makes the microfibres of the product stand on end. This barrier of fibres stops water drops from being able to soak into the surface of the product, however this coating will progressively fade with time. To refresh this coating, a Reproofer kit can be applied.
Yes, the jeans are single layer Covert reinforced with Covec LITE lining in key areas.
