Advice & Guides Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...

Riding all year round, commuting, touring in this country and Europe, you need some kit that smoothes out the troughs of riding in all conditions. These keks more than fit the bill. Exceed it actually. Paired with my Rukka jacket, they really do remove the weather out of the equation. Completely. Permanently. There’s enough armour to go to battle in. A little on the heavy side, but a small price to pay. Unlike the cost though and it’s hard to justify initially spending that money, even when applying “man maths” ( Can’t imagine what I’d think if my missus said she’d just spent over a grand on a pair of keks! ) but months and years in, these pants will repay in you in buckets. A 6 year warranty as well.
I initially intended on going Rukka Nivala jacket and trousers; but upon checking out the Kingsley trousers they immediately felt more durable which I prefer over the Nivala trousers. They are extremely waterproof thanks to the Goretex layer, this was a big deal for me as living in Scotland we only get 6 days of the year that it doesn’t rain! I have had other textiles that have had a waterproof inner liner which is fine, but the jacket itself holds water therefore making it cold and heavy so Goretex was a must. Yes, they are pricey but in my opinion they are a very good investment if you plan on touring as you will be prepared for all weathers. The quality is very impressive, of course there are cheaper alternative Goretex trousers but you get a top quality bit of kit that will last you years.
Bought nivala suite first but wasn't happy about durability given cost so swapped for Kingsley seems far better
Very comfortable. Waterproof and protective as expected. The vents definitely help, I'm looking forward to testing it in the winter months with the down trousers.
The leather sections inside of the legs really help grip the seat and tank.
Best gear you can get,
pricy but worth it when you have them on
I have had the trousers for 4 weeks now and am commuting to work in all weathers. They have kept me dry in torrential rain and cool with the vents open in the heatwave.
As with the jacket total quality lovely fit and getting the right leg length feel totally protected wearing these trousers and very comfortable the staff at Sportsbikeshop are excellent and very helpful and cannot recommend them highly enough
