Turtle neck.

Hard to review when one has not yet fallen off the bike to try it, but the principle is great if it works as one can't put too high a value on one's one neck, back and possibly life, even if you are the only person who regards yourself highly enough!
Expensive but no doubt worth it when push comes to shove.

Quality Piece Of Kit

The vest appears to be well made and not too heavy. Although a bit on the expensive side, SBS discounted price against the previous lanyard model was minimal and made the choice easy. Hopefully never have to use it in anger, but its there and what price can you put on your own safety. Great next day service by SBS as usual.

Helite's electronic airbag technology covers the road and track, the e-Turtle for the road and the e-GP Air for the track. Helite sees this technology as a real evolution in protection and detection for the motorcyclist.
The electronic airbag system by Helite comprises up to two onboard sensors that analyse the situation in real-time depending on the vest and rider preference;
• A sensor integrated into the vest itself (CDU): it follows the motion of the motorcyclist circumstances (included)
• An optional sensor to be placed on the motorcycle fork (SDU), paired with the vest sensor and detects impacts on the motorcycle (sold separately)
When a fall or accident is detected the vest inflates automatically. This multi-sensor technology offers a 360 degree detection and covers various types of accidents: from 0 km/h, at low speed and regardless of the angle of impact.The CDU sensor is directly integrated into the vest. For better comfort, the electronic system is situated next to the e-cartridge. The optional fork sensor allows a more global analysis and provides better protection: it divides the detection time by two and covers a lot more dangerous situations: at standstill or at low speed.
