Having purchased and worn other “Summer. Gloves” I knew what I wanted from the Knox Urban Pro Gloves. The most important features in order were, coolness, comfort and finally the look. They definitely deliver on all points.

The exceptionally good cooling was delivered by the base material. The actual glove itself really is a strong open mesh, much larger than any mesh I have seen in other summer gloves. Onto that is attached the protective armour for what would be the contact points in the event of an accident.

The next feature important to me was comfort, the Knox fit well due to the vast size range available. The material is thin enough to let you feel what you are touching, essential for good brake, clutch, throttle and switch control.

Finally the look or style of the gloves is important to me and many others I’m sure. The design of the Knox is what I would call modern, even futuristic without being too “mad max”. They blend perfectly with the rest of the Knox range of rider clothing but look equally well alongside more traditional biker gear.

If you are looking for your next pair of summer gloves, look no further than the Knox.

Really good summer gloves. Very breathable, and the armour is flexible too, just what you need in the heat. Really like the fastening round the wrist too.

Feel good, but question the quality control

These gloves do feel snug but I'm hoping they mould to my hand after a few outings.
What's more concerning is that after only a handful of rides, the thumb cover has started to come away from the stitching. Not what I'd expect from an expensive pair of gloves with Knox's usual reputation for quality.
I will be asking them for a warranty claim.

Wore these over several days in Italy, weather was around 22-24c, kept my hands nice and cool even on low speed country roads riding. Added benefit of the protection, give you peace of mind. High recommend them. I tried L and XL size, not much diiference in the fit. Chose XL simply because on hot days your skin expands and will make easier to put on and remove.

Purchased these and I'm very happy, I first bought some 'Rev its' and ended up returning and buying these. My palm is 8inches all the way around and I ordered a Large which fits pretty well. The thumb is slightly too long for me but I can live with that as the palm fit is spot on. The stitching on the finger tips is positioned so you don't feel it as much which is nice. I'd reccomend trying these gloves!

Knuckle protection feels awkward

Got these and Rev'it Montford Mixed Gloves. Comparing the two they're very similar. The materials on these feel slightly thicker, especially around the wrist. However I found the knuckle armour bunched up on my knuckles when riding and got a bit uncomfortable. The palm armour to encourage sliding rather than downward force seems a bit gimmicky, I don't think the pads are big enough or in the right place to really do much. Not sure they're worth the extra 10-17GBP

Reassuring hard skids on the palm. Nice and thin and light with ventilation. I have used them up to 33ºC and they work well. They work the touch screen on an old Garmin. I am normally XL and the XL gloves are snug but have broken in nicely after a couple of thousand miles. Clever closure at the wrist.

Tactical Elegance for Your Fingers

If James Bond ever ditched the tux and hopped on a café racer, these are the gloves he’d wear. The Knox Urbane Pro Gloves in black are the kind of gear that whisper, “I’m here to ride... and possibly defuse a bomb with one hand while sipping espresso with the other.”
First Impressions:
- Slipped them on and immediately felt like I should be interrogating someone in a dimly lit garage.
- My hands now move with 40% more purpose and 100% more style.
Pros:
- Sleek black finish that says “I mean business,” but in a very polite British way.
- Touchscreen compatible, so you can text your enemies “Nice try” without removing them.
- Armor so discreet it could pass for MI6-issued tech.
Cons:
- People keep asking if I’m in a secret motorcycle gang called “The Velvet Fist.”
- I now refuse to shake hands unless it’s in slow motion with dramatic music.
- My cat is intimidated. She won’t sit on my lap unless I remove them.
Final Verdict: These gloves don’t just protect your hands—they elevate them to elite status. Whether you’re dodging potholes or dodging questions about your mysterious aura, the Knox Urbane Pro Gloves have you covered. Literally.

These gloves are light and nice to wear in warm and hot weather, keeping hands that much cooler than my other summer gloves. I'm not sure on longevity as already showing signs of wear after a couple of months wear for between 2 and 3 thousand miles

A hot weather bike glove performance

27 Jul 2025 by Steve H
I'm usually XL but went for the XXL. A good idea as it turned out. That bit of extra space was useful in the hot weather biking in Tenerife.
The Knox Urbane Pro gloves provided a cooling airflow. I don't think my usual Goldtop viceroys would have been any wear near as comfortable.
I ordered them last minute. They arrived next day. Excellent product and service!

Great summer gloves

Bought these 3 weeks ago and just returned from trip to Italy where temperatures hit 34 degrees. Gloves performed brilliantly keeping my hands cool and comfortable. Despite being new they were comfortable from first use. The wrist tightening system is very useful and easy to operate and I like having the scaphoid protection, which was one of the reasons I chose these gloves. Highly recommended.

The Urbane Pro glove is a hot weather riding summer glove which has been designed to complement the Urbane Pro collection. It comes with a focus on high breathability, amazing comfort and fit.

Built with an abrasion resistant and lightweight mix of both textile and leather materials, designed for uncompromised performance. The comfortable and durable leather palm is complemented with a highly breathable 3D spacer mesh on the back of the hand for increased airflow. Micro-lock technology is housed in a soft, yet tough, thermoplastic breathable knuckle guard. The two combine to offer superior impact absorption.

Amara is used for both the touch screen on both index fingers and thumbs as well as on the palm for better control of the bike. The Knox Lift and Lock secure closure system on both cuffs makes for a secure fit that's easy to use. Additional comfort is delivered via wrap round seamless finger ends, finished in leather. A leather wrist strap comes with a perforated soft but durable, neoprene cuff and detailing is finished with Knox embossed branding.

The Urbane Pro glove also utilises the sports styled patented Knox Scaphoid Protection System (SPS) on the palm. This eliminates the grab effect that occurs when a leather palm makes contact with the road, and in turn reduces the risk of hyperextension which can be the cause of a broken scaphoid.
