DXR A40 Leather Jacket - Black

Bought this for summer riding, but found it warm for 10 c weather riding, nice quality jacket, looks smart.

Looks great and the feel of the jacket is really nice. Quite heavy when holding up but fine once wearing. Feels very warm. Would recommend sizing up after reading reviews and glad I did.

Been up and down the m62 in zero degrees weather and this jacket held solid.

Warm down to about 5⁰c
Shower proof, as i found out yesterday.
Thick leather, premium feel.
Comfortable.

Not so good in temps above 20⁰c as there's no ventilation, buttons on the cuffs are superfluous in my opinion, could do with an option to strap the collar around your neck to keep a but of draft without wearing a neck scarf.

All in all, brilliant for the money

Half the price of some of its contemporaries but certainly not half the quality. Warm and comfortable what’s not to like. Only thing I would change is maybe more cinching at the waist

Feels like a quality recoverable line fits well arms are not to short like others early days at mo but happy at the mo .

Nice heavy leather, chunky feeling zips. The fur collar is removable and reveals a leather folded over collar in a smart 1950's style. The elbow armour sits in the right place for me and covers my elbows. It has a zipped inside pocket too. The outside sleeve pocket is small and you wouldn't get anything bigger than a Freddo in there, a minor issue though. I'm a 44" chest and had to go for the 46" chest.

Soft leather took little breaking in, warm and easy to wear, lots of useful pockets, removable collar and lining for warmer weather but very warm at moment, for the money excellent value,

appreciated its classic bomber look combined with modern protective features

I was amazed at the quality of this jacket especially at this price.i changed the elbow armour for something a bit softer but that's just personal preference. It comes without a back protector but has the pocket to put one of your choice in. Love it.

Have not worn out on bike yet but jacket is a good fit, I went for slightly larger size of 48. The 46 was a little too tight. I'm normally an XL in normal clothing. Jacket has lots of pockets in and out, can't wait to wear ?

Months and really pleased with the quality and looks I have more expensive jackets but ime not sure

I have had this DXR A40 leather jacket for a few months over winter. The first impression of this jack is the quality. A heavy well made buffalo leather, you can feel the weight and quality of this jacket once you have put it on. When riding it gives you reassurance and in very cold weather you do not feel the cold which can only be a good thing. It does take time to break in but once it does it feel and fits is amazing. I'm well pleased with this jacket. The only small niggle I won't ride a leather jacket in heavy rain but in light rain and cold weather this jack preformed well. You might need to wear a neck buff or snood as the collar is synthetic wool which can become damp and feels a little uncomfortable. Apart from that...this has become one of my favourite jackets for autumn/winter riding, excellent value for money worth check out for a great bit of riding kit plus it looks great off the bike. This is a well put together jack with plenty of pockets and a removable thermal liner it all works well. You can tell that this is an item that will last. Thank you to the staff at SBS which is always outstanding and a great product from DXR.
