Advice & Guides Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...

Recently purchased to go with the jacket I bought last year. I’m 6 foot tall, 16st. Would normally buy 36 inch waist stuff. Got the XL and fit perfect.
Wore them in warm weather and opened all the zipped vents. Worked well. Haven’t ridden in rain yet but I’m sure they’ll be great and dry!
Excellent, expensive, bit roomy in the leg, but dropping a size helped
Now tested properly in cold and wet on long runs and with layers on they are excellent. Size is exactly per their charts so check them in store as very different to eu size. U might want braces for them as the waist straps do tighten them but found they would sit slightly low. It trying them in shop they will be stiff but only takes a few rides to break them in
Bought the Klim badlands pro jacket and trousers about 18 months ago love them . I wear them on Road and green laning very versatile. Ventilation zip failed repaired under warranty no quibble . Great service many thanks
Very pleased well
Made used the original Badlands for 5 years and these are improved version
Expensive. No braces to go with them. The connection zip to the jacket is too short. That's the bad points out of the way.
I've worn these in 15c so far with the vents open and they kept me cool and comfortable. I've worn them in a storm on the motorway and they kept me dry as a bone. They feel robust and the fit is good too. I was wary of klim pants being baggy and while these are far from a close fit they do fit well over boots and the length for me is perfect. The waist has adjustability and an option for braces. Internally there is no thermal liner which I wasn't looking for, I wore a thin baselayer under these when it was cooler and it was a nice fit and comfortable. I think without they might be a bit "scratchy" but they'll keep me cool and dry when needed overall a good pant.
Don't get me wrong, these are excellent, but for this money I would expect amazing, perfection even and so being very critical. A full zip to the jacket rather than back zip would be better. With all the armour and layered material they are quite heavy. If I was walking about in them then I would invest in some big braces. I somehow expected a higher waist rather than sitting on the hips. I particularly like the foot flap and snaps to fit well around my boots. Lots of size options means you can get a great fit, but means a bit of guessing needed when ordering.
These trousers are very comfortable, not to stiff, was told as they are American would probably need a size smaller than usual, tried a medium but was way too tight so ended up with large which are 34" waist and in regular length… perfect.
I choose monument grey as I wanted something a bit lighter since bike is a gsa triple black.
Whether I've made right colour choice remains to be seen as may well show the dirt more.
Bought from SBS as they were the cheapest in the UK by £150 so a no-brainer.
My first pair of these (bought in 2013) were refunded by Gore as part of a warranty claim.
Onto these, I bought the same size as I had done previously, but they're about half a size too big. Discussing with another Klim dealer, it turns out they've changed the sizing to make them 'more adventurey' i.e. a bit baggier to give you more room on the bike. This didn't suit my riding, so SBS exchanged them for a smaller pair which fit perfectly, and in the same way that my originals fitted. Worth knowing when you choose your sizing. I'd say the sizing is very accurate with the regular length suiting my 31" inside leg.
Quality wise, they're amazing, and although not tested yet, I have no doubt they'll keep me as dry as Klim Gore-Tex has always done in all weathers. They really are outstanding.
Amazing service from SBS Birmingham allowing me to compare both sets before making a choice. SBS remain my go-to shop for buying bike kit as they're consistently better than all their competitors.
The first ride was a 400+ mile journey from the Ardennes to Worcestershire. The weather was unkind with gales and very heavy showers near Calais. But I remained dry and comfy. The ability to zip into my Klim jacket was useful.
Excellent trousers. And excellent service from SPORTSBIKESHOP
Top quality - as you would expect. Yet to test in the rain - but the fit is good, Time will tell if they are good enough to persuade me to buy the matching jacket. Service from SBS is excellent.
