The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
My go to boots from FALCO. Obviously a little situational but extremely comfortable and easy to get on with on and off the bike too. Not tested in any kind of extreme weather conditions other than cold, and they were absolutely fine. Zipped side entry, good sizing (Falco works for me, narrow feet and the half sizing) and acceptable safety features for this sort of boot. I am sorely tempted by the Chaser 2 boots with slightly different features added to an already excellent boot, but the original chaser is solid and very price competitive. Would certainly buy again!
I admit, I might have had bad luck but the laminated seam came loose after a couple of months, inviting water penetration. Returned the (expensive) boots for a refund but had them returned repaired. I don't know if I can trust these boots not to fall apart on a longer journey
Really well made, stylish and comfortable boots.
The label says they achieved CE level 2 (highest level) in all 4 mandatory boot test set out in the BS:EN - I don't know why SBS or Falco aren't stating this on their website.
They also have a discreet elasticated band on the tongue so you can tuck the laces to stop them flapping around.
well, well, a great boot- style and substance with zero annoyance factor. Slipped into my life seamlessly without shouting 'I'm a motorcycle boot'. D30 armour keeps things light, feet are warm and dry and the italians keep the branding on the DL. love-em
As always great fitting boots and completely waterproof
