I got this after trying one on at motorcycle live. I've been riding just over 2 years with only a thermal liner and god the difference! This is so much warmer even in the freezing temperatures we've been having recently. The thumb holes are also great at keeping your hands warm. Excellent customer service from SBS as usual too.
As per other reviews it is a snug fit but I wanted that under my textile outer. Its warm and comfortable. A great buy at the sale price. Maybe a tad expensive at full price but I'm pleased. Lots of pockets and will double as a leisure jacket on tour.
Good for the price. Need to size up as very snug, nice and warm so does exactly what I bought it for
Very neat fitting, I'm usually an L but had to go XL on this. Hardly knew I had it on under my jacket no need for layers anymore just a T shirt and this. Main thing is I've started wearing it as a normal jacket out walking the dogs. Well made. Definite a must have item 10/10 Oxford
This is a really comfortable soft jacket. The front of the jacket, front of the sleeves, and top half of the back have a layer of synthetic insulation with a furry fleecy lining. The rest of the jacket is a powerstretch type of fabric. It's a really light, soft, flexible jacket and not at all bulky like a puffer jacket, (although to be fair it's not as warm as a more puffy jacket either). It's warmer than it's thickness and weight would suggest though.
Size wise, I got the same size as my normal bike jacket size and it's a snug comfortable fit with a base layer and thin zip neck fleece under it. The sleeves are nice and long, so they don't ride up. There's also rubber grippy stuff on the waist which stops that riding up too.
Overall a nice jacket and I'm glad I bought it.
Well made & very warm made from top quality materials for what you pay it's value for your money it also fits like a glove underneath your jacket also very long on your back so it keeps you warm.
I bought this after reading a positive review in Ride Magazine - and I agree with the findings of their review. First ride out I was TOO warm but after adjusting my other layers found the right combination to make it just right. I now only need two layers under my jacket instead of three (on a cold winters days) so now much less bulky. 2 year warranty gives confidence it will last.
Wind blocker that looks good enough to wear off bike. Insulated but does not take up too much room under jacket. A good layer.
It's a good jacket and is an improvement on the stock thermal liners you usually get in jackets. It has some nicely placed fleece sections and has stretch panels in useful spots.
However Oxford products are usually cheap and cheerful and this is way too expensive for for what it is.
Having used it in the cold a few times now, it is too thin to keep you properly warm. I have had to layer up with several base layers and jumpers. It's really not up to "the most trying weather conditions" as Oxford claim.
Bit expensive. Works really well as part of a layering system with a Klim jacket. Upped a size to get the perfect fit. All fleecy lined in the bits that matter but not at all bulky. Works well for me..
